This is the first book of this Irish trilogy. The scenery is remnicent of the "Born" series in the Irish countryside but the characters are unique to their own time and personalities which amounts to an enjoyable ride. I zipped right through this as I am sure any Roberts' fan will!
This is the first in a series about an irish family and the folklore and stories that go along with that area of the country. All three books are very well written and this was an excellent purchase I was able to acquire through ebay. AWESOME author!!
Ebay is a great source to find information and products that you need or want. I have searched thru several book stores looking for this particular book and was so pleased to find it available on Ebay. Even with the shipping the price was excellent. Love, Love, Love that Ebay!!
I love Nora Roberts books.I will buy most any of her books. This triology is exciting, keeps you in suspense and a great deal of laughter is involved when reading these books. You don't want to put them down if you are an avid reader as I am.
I bought this book mostly because I'm a huge Nora Roberts fan. Also, I found book two of this trilogy in a local thrift shop and found books 1 and 3 here on ebay. I bought them
Whenever I read one of her books I am completely mesmerized by her. She has a unique way of capturing all of our senses and emotions in a chapter, in a paragraph. My favorite books are her trilogies! This one is no exception, filled with humor, love and a little magic! It is beautiful and memorable. A must read for any fan! Leaves you on edge for the next book. But, it is so carefully weaved that you do not need on to read the other. But, they are so great you have to read them all!
Although I enjoyed this book very much, it wasn't my favorite in this trilogy. But it was good enough to make me read the rest of the set, and for me, this book was just getting the story started. The setting is wonderful and mysterious, and the characters are likeable. But wait till you move on to the next books in this set! It gets better.

Jewels of the Sun is a gem!

Pros: Lovable characters in an Irish setting
Cons: None
One of the things that I like to do in the summer is to find a nice, escapist romance novel and curl up on a blanket in the shade. Given the drought of really good romance novels that I ve suffered lately, I was wondering if I would be lucky enough to find one. But I did. Jewels of the Sun is perfect for that summer escape or even for a cold day spent huddled in front of a crackling fire. Jewels of the Sun is the first in the latest trilogy by one of the most prolific authors in the business, Nora Roberts. This trilogy, which is set in current time, centers on some of the inhabitants of the...

Jude Murray finds herself on the Emerald Isle

Pros: Wonderfully depicts Irish small town life, good cast of characters, has a ghost
Cons: Heroine lacks a goal and never has anything at risk
Jewels of the Sun is the first of a trilogy that takes place in a small village in Ireland. It focuses on the romantic lives of the Gallagher siblings, who one by one find their soulmates. Although this novel beautifully captures Irish culture for American audiences, it was a little slower than the other two, Tears of the Moon and Heart of the Sea. Good things came so easily to Jude, one might actually think all she needs to do is move to Ireland the next time she goes through a bad patch. Despite managing to hold attention, most of the plotline is spent waiting for the protagonist to face a..

Jewel of a Book

Pros: Beautifully written content, endearing characters, continual flow of story line
Cons: none
Jewels of the Sun is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books! Her writing is so poignant, clear, and concise. Her characters are warm, well-rounded, and she paints them so clearly you feel as if you know them personally. The magic woven into this story enhances it, but does not take it over. The end result is a beautiful tale of love, friendship, and trust. The story opens in Ireland, in a rented car where Chicago native Jude Frances Murray sits nervously behind the wheel. She has just thrown away her profession as psychology professor in favor of visiting the village of Ardmore, where her...

A Sparkling Tale

Pros: Romantic and descriptive. You'll feel like you're in Ireland!
Cons: A little on the predictable side, but has a few very unpredictable moments!
Once again one of America's best romance writers entertains her readers from Page #1 in the first book of this trilogy. Nora Roberts takes you on a tour of a small village in Ireland, as seen through the eyes of Jude, a Yank in a foreign, unfamiliar country. One of the things Roberts does best is to involve her readers throughout the story. Her flowing descriptions allow the reader to envision the cottage on the hill, to smell the flowers in bloom, to observe the lush green countryside of Ireland. We are then introduced to Aidan - a tall, dark, handsome Irishman full of romantic ideals but...

The beginning to a beautiful trilogy!

Pros: Easily followed, imaginative, romantic
Cons: None
Jewels of the Sun, written by Nora Roberts and released by Jove books is the beginning to a wonderfully delicious trilogy. Set in modern times, in this first novel we are introduced to the Gallagher siblings with the star this time being Aidan Gallagher and his roguish ways. With their parents off in America the siblings are left as adults to take care of the family business, an Irish pub in the beautiful setting of rural Ireland. In Jewels of the Sun, American Jude Murray sets off to Ireland to figure out what to do with her life. She soon finds herself intertwined with the Gallaghers' and...
