Jenn-Air 30 in. JGC9430ADS Gas Cooktop

Overall I would rate this appliance Excellent except for the unlevel grids which brings it to below average. It is very hard to keep clean due to black glass showing every smear or salt flake.

The cooktop is well laid out with controls in front and the 14,000 BTU burner is great. All burners work wonderfully and adjust low, relighting on its own if fire goes out.

Jenn-Air sent me new grids when I wrote that they were not level and my small pans and skillets tipped when placed in the center of the burner. Large ones work fine. The new grids did exactly the same so I am guessing that this is in the design. I may not have chosen this cooktop had I known this oddity existed.

Clean up is a breeze with only one drawback. The black glass surface shows oily streaks unless a lot of time is spent cleaning and polishing. Simple soap and water won't do. It must be wrinsed several times and shined with a window cleaning cloth. Possibly the white one would be easier cared for.

I couldn't find a good review before I purchased so I hope this helps somone.
