Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2002, DVD)

Writer-director Kevin Smith's fifth and final installment of his New Jersey Chronicles (which began in 1994 with the breakout, low-budget comedy CLERKS) is a chance for scene-stealing, foulmouthed stoner Jay (Jason Mewes) and his taciturn sidekick/"hetero life mate" Silent Bob (Smith) to carry their own movie. When comic store mogul Brodie (Jason Lee, reprising his MALLRATS role) informs Jay and Silent Bob that a movie featuring their comic book alter egos, Bluntman and Chronic, is about to be made, the duo demands a cut from the comic's creator, Holden (Ben Affleck, in his CHASING AMY role). Holden explains that his ex-partner, Banky (Lee again) has sold them out, and shows them some angry Internet posts from Bluntman and Chronic fans. Fearing for their reputations, Jay and Silent Bob embark on a cross-country odyssey to Hollywood to stop the film. En route, they run afoul of a Charlie's Angels-type jewelry thief ring--one of whom, Justice (Shannon Elizabeth) takes a liking to Jay--an orangutan, a Federal Wildlife Marshall (Will Ferrell), and Miramax studio security. Smith's fond farewell to his intertwined Jersey characters is a lovingly crude, broad comedy rife with celebrity cameos, slapstick movie spoofs, and clever jabs at Hollywood.

This is one of the funniest movies out of the whole Kevin Smith collection... I laughed, I cried, I was touched. If u need a good laugh and u love Kevin Smith movies, or are just big fans of Jay and Silent Bob, this is a must have!!!

This is one of those "Its so stupid its funny" movies. Alot of great major movie stars make it even better. I loved this movie because it just kepped me laughing and laughing from begging to the very end. The only thing I didn't like about the movie was I felt it should have included some of the deleted scenes in the original movie.

Jay and Silent Bob are freakin hillarious. I seen almost all the movies they are in and I highly recommend them all. There hasent been a dissapointment from me! They situations they get and and how they get out of them is just too funny!

I never got my movie. it's been about 2 month and never got the movie.This is the second time this happen that i have not got my movies or the movies back.But i have never have problems in the pass with no getting the products.

Great movie for those who like the adventures of Jay and Silent Bob. It may become a cult comedy classic.

I BOUGHT THIS ITEM FOR MY GRANDSON. HE SAID IT WAS AWSOME! I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT WAS, I USUALLY CHECK IT OUT BEFORE I BUY, BUT NO TIME ON THIS ONE.UP TO HIS PARENTS TO CHECK IT.

Wow...makes you laugh. I am a nurse and found this light and funny!! Of course the characters are loosers but you will laugh!! I think that when you want to watch something and just get lost in pure insanity you will buy this movie.

Funny movie. It'll make you laugh. It's a Laugh out loud movie. If you're a big fan of Kevin Smith movies, get this.

Not Kevin Smith's finest movie, but still pretty funny. The cameos are great in this movie, with Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in their only appearance in the same film since Star Wars (unfortunately they're in different scenes).
This movie is worth it just for Will Ferrell's hilarious role though. If you're a fan of his, you won't be disappointed by his performance in this movie.

The jokes about the internet (specifically typical message board denizens) are spot-on.

I could not stop laughing at this movie. I have an attachment to jay & silent bob, and this movie knocked me off my feet. Some parts made me kind of squeamish [the horse part, for example! lol!] Overall, Its one of my favorites.

I love all Jay and Silent Bob Movies, They are funny and I just like to mention that Jay is hot lol, But anyways its a funny good comdey movie.

I bought the Movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back 2002 DVD it took it a while to get to me this was my first time ordering on E Bay did not know if I was going to get this move or not. But if finally got here in time for Christmas. Thank you for sending it.

This was 2 hours of dick and fart jokes. Exactly what you would expect from the writer who brought you Clerks,Mallrats, ect,ect,ect. This best part about this movie was the cameos from George Carlin (Gay hitchhiker), Will farrell (Forrest Ranger) and Mark Hamill (Cockknocker). This movie is rated R for good reason. You only hear about 500 F-Bombs throughout the movie.

This can only be characterized as the continuing saga of Jay and Silent Bob as they interact with all the characters they have interacted with in all the other movies that Director/writer Kevin Smith has had his hands on. If you like his fracctured world, you will love to live in it for a couple of hours more. Be prepared to surrender reality, but remember, it's the trip, not the end of the journey!

one disk was really scratched up kind of bad but it plays loved the movie really a very funny movie.

Throughout the various films Kevin Smith has directed Jay and Silent Bob have been the "other" stars.This film changed how we looked at them.

Jay spilled the sex jokes and Silent Bob...well remained silent,but still made you wanna bust a gut at the outrageous stuff they were getting into.Everywhere you turn there was something else happening.This movie features "jay's rap" and if you have seen it hen you know how funny that is all in itself.

I recommend this if your not easily offended,and just wanna have a great time!Not to mention that every main character from the years has something to do with it.Cameo's anyone?

i love the movie- it's one of my favorites! i love the quality of the dvd- it was in good condition. i decided to buy it because it was a good price and i've had trouble finding the movie before this.

I bought this DVD for a good friend for their birthday. This was the only one missing from their collection. The DVD was a very great price and it was the collectors eddition on top of that. The product shipped very fast and the cover and disc's were in excellent condition. I was very pleased with this purchase.

jay and silent bob strikes back was purchased by me because it is funny.jay and silent bob do crazy things like steal a monkey,meet charlie angels.it's like austin powers movies but instead of british people it's new jersey boys.their was nothing that i dislike from this puchase.

This movie is the greatest. This truly is one of my favorites. Jay and silent bob are hilarious. I suggest getting this and all the other Kevin Smith movies.

This is a funny movie, I liked everything about it, I saw other movie's with
Jay & Silent Bob but I believe this is one of there best, after watching it
once I knew I had to own this movie to watch over & over you keep wondering
what they will say or do next, I rated this movie as excellent because to me
this was an excellent movie, I like movies you can watch more than once & this
is it.
