Excellent Camcorder
I borrowed a Everio G series camcorder from a friend and was very impressed at how easy it was to record and transfer videos and photos to my iMac. After I gave it back I had to have one. This Camera is a step up from the one I borrowed and I am loving the extra features and increased size of the hard drive. And just like my friends camcorder the files transfer seamlessly to iPhoto and iMovie for further editing and movie making. I recommend this camcorder to anyone that is interested in taking their home movies to the next level. Mini DVs, DVD camcorders are a thing of the past, why would you want to burn it to something until you are satisfied with the final product. Digital camera's have completely taken over the picture taking industry and I imagine that the Hard Disk Drive camcorder will do the same thing to other camcorders that require you to have to transfer the data from one medium to another just to get it on a computer.

we like the compact size and lightweight, picture clarity is good. you dont have to mess with tapes or dvds. I would recommend it. I have not tried other brands but this one seems to be the most functional and good value.

Excelent giftThis camera is one of the best things I have bought on ebay. Its simple to use and its HDD memory last forever, so if you are looking for a good gift or to get the best camera get one of these.

Small, versatile, powerful, amazing clarityI love that there is a built in 60 GB hard drive ... plenty of room to record in between when I want to sit down and edit my movies on the PC. You can also store your still pictures on the hard drive or onto the micro SD memory card.
I'm not thrilled with the touch light screen bar for the menu selections ... I would rather have had a physical scroll button like my old camera, but, this just takes some getting used to, with time, hopefully I'll like this feature even more ... The camera lets you choose between the two TV types, 4:3 and 16:9 ... so, I can finally shoot digital movie shorts in a professional looking format ... which turn out looking so sweet. It's so light in my hand, I can hold it for hours recording my kids playing around ... and then edit the parts I want to keep right on my pc and burn it to DVDs ... the future of video is now, and it is brought to you courtesy of JVC.
