I've always felt Tweet's been such a criminally underrated and under-appreciated artist and I can't figure out why. She's definitely got the skills, both vocally and lyrically. Her sexy, seductive and dexterous alto infused the perfect amount of passion and pain into her debut, Southern Hummingbird, and whether she was seducing a guy over a percolating club-thumping beat one minute and kicking him to the curb over a melancholic acoustic guitar the next, she always exuded such a charismatic talent that made you feel the intensity of her music.
