CD is scratched
Review created: 04/07/08

Several of the songs were inaudible because the CD has been scratched. I am not completly satisfied. I must say several of the songs on the CD that I really like I was able to listen to and enjoy them; however, the entire CD is not in good condition.

I love the song Anything. Quite honestly, it's the only one that I listen to. My mom had the cassette and I decided to purchase the CD. Kim Burrell's range is phenomenal. Her vibrato is unparalleled and if you really want to hear someone who can sing....better yet SANG, a Kim Burrell album is what you need to get you through those tough times when praise is difficult. Uplifting.

Whatever Happens, Mike Can Still Sing!

This is a underestimated comeback album. Even I underestimated it. That's why i'm just now purchasing it, 5 years later. I like the album but got it particularly for the following songs: Whatever happens, Cry, Butterfly and Break of dawn. "You rock my world" is okay. They could have omitted a couple of the songs and instead put the following songs in their place: Butterflies [Remix] {feat. Eve} and You rock my world [Trackmasters Remix] {feat. Jay Z}.

 Jammin Jackson.

New songs with the same "King of Pop" behind the lyrics & some of the song writing. You can argue all day about him personally, but there is no arguing that he is a very talented musician.

 Michael Jackson's INVINCIBLE

I decided to buy this CD because in general I really like Michael Jackson's other CD's, of which I have many. Despite all the "hoop-la" about this artist, people seemed to have forgotten that he is a brilliant songwriter. I love this particular collection of songs because it has slightly different themes and rythmes than his other CD's. One of my favorite songs is "Heaven Can Wait", but there are many others just as fine! (Wonderful original rythmes). Mr. Jackson has some very meaningful messages to share with the world. If we would just listen.
Michael also addresses some current issues in a straight forward way. The melody's are great. I believe this is one of Michael Jackson's BEST CD's.

Pros:
Michael still has a great voice over the years, production is well crafted, lyrics, energetic.

Cons:
Most tracks are way over the time limit, a couple of tracks.

In 2001, the album that would be the final album of Michael Jackson's career, Invincible. Invincible however, was a poor seller. Michael even made a claim that the media didn't advertise it enough. Maybe true but you would think this album's anxious level of Michael's last album? I got to get this! would be very high. Obviously, it was not. But the hype over if Michael would go back to his roots--the ground-breaking and most selling album Michael has ever done[Thriller], well he doesn't. He doesn't go back to the classic 80s music. Instead, in this Michael goes into a new generation of music-.

The Illusion Of Invincibility As Sung By The King Of Pop
Review created: 04/20/02
by: speeddemon531-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Music

Pros:
Several songs here stack up against MJ's best, especially when he turns the tempo down.

Cons:
Some adult contemporary piffle, tries too hard to stay current. Unnecessary B.I.G. cameo.

As a lifelong MJ fan, "Invincible"'s release date was as anticipated by me as a bonus paycheck or a week's vacation. The hardest part of listening to any MJ album is being subjective. Not only is the man competing against his past triumphs, but he is also dealing with all the bad press, rumor and scandal that has plagued him. "Invincible" is not quite a return to form, nor is it a total letdown. It is frustratingly spotty, however. Here's a track-by-track analysis. Whoa...hold up a second...remember back in the days when I was doing track-by-track reviews? How lame. With three years...

Invincible is a Worthy Addition to My Michael Music
Review created: 12/23/01
by: BARNZ -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Michael is still producing compelling music, better than most.

Cons:
Half the album is a waste.

Michael Jackson is one of my all time favorites as a performer and when he releases an album I have to buy it. No one can hold a candle to Michael in my eyes; his music creates a personal safety zone for me where nothing can ever go wrong. I don t think of his problems or my own I become immersed in the music, it washes over me and takes me away. When I tore invincible out of the wrapper the first thing I did was grab a tape, I knew I wanted to put You Rock My World on tape, but what other Tape Worthy songs were contained therein, as I listened here are my observations. Song One Unbreakable...

History of Michael Jackson: He Says He's Invincible, But Is the Album?
Review created: 10/30/01
by: roheblius -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
The production is top notch and the songs are well put together.

Cons:
Some of the ballads are sappy and uninspired.

This album is going to be criticized. Actually I've read two reviews for the album outside of Epinions and both were mostly negative. Both reviews stated that he needs to go back to the days of Thriller and Off The Wall and that his new sound is tired. I find that quite funny because if everyone tried to sound like music that's over 10 years old, they would be smothered with criticism for sounding retro. Let's face it. Michael is not going to make another Thriller. That album was one that changed music, but how many albums change the face of music? So to criticize a guy because he can't...

Wacko Jacko, newfound BEYONC impersonator soaked in bleach
Review created: 01/25/05
by: silktempest -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
JERMAINE JACKSON didn't record an album like this

Cons:
He surely might have done it, if he had the money and guts

I've never been a huge MICHAEL JACKSON fan, knowing by heart every single OOOAH from him as my cousins still do after 20 years of praise (!). Estranged by his muses, chased by police officers and papparazzis everywhere, his King Of Pop crown rotten by market oblivion and bankrupcy...He has a lot of trouble getting in his way of making music today. Anyway, I believe he could have unleashed thousands of better records while sitting his Neverland porch, late 80s, just passing time. What confirms my reservations towards this record is the amount of studio wizardry, the massive loads of...
