one of the biggest box ofice hits ever brings the ultimate encounter of alien power,.. the worls only hope lies with Will Smith .. it has some scenes hat small kids might be scared of but all and all its a great sit at home family mmovie. best seen on a big screeen. I really enjoyed this movie

This is one of the best movies around. Action packed. Keeps you watching. I bought it because I hadn't seen it for a while and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I watched it. I will watch it again too. I love the way the country pulls together and gives it all they got to save the world.

) I have seen this film about twenty times. I finally decided to buy my own copy. The story is fast moving and attention keeping. The actors who number Will Smith, Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldberg, Judd Hirsch, Mary McDonnell, Robert Loggia, Margaret Colin and Vivian Fox do their jobs well and make the film even more interesting. It also has the inimmitable Harvey Fierstein in a small role which, as usual, he handles superably. This is a great film - pure entertainment - with no psychoanalyzation, etc. to make for deep thinking.

Entertaining, but acting was not the best3 of 3 people found this review helpful.
It is funny, because i watch this movie, and can't seem to stop watching it, not because there are stellar performances, but because generally, the movie is clean and entertaining. If you're looking for the best of performances, not the movie for you, if you're looking for a good entertaining movie, give it a shot.
