In the Zone - Spears, Britney (Cassette 2003)

Screw Justin and The Horse He Rode In On

Pros:
Breathe On Me - totally orgasmic.

Cons:
I wanted a f*ck-you Justin song. Good for her for being a grown-up about it.

When I received In The Zone two weeks ago, I was beyond excited. Would Britney write a stick-it-to-you song to her ex? Would there be more collaborations with people like Madonna? Would the sound of the cd be different from her first three? Full of anticipation, I unwrapped it, took a deep whiff of the cd booklet mmmmmmmmmmmmm...I love fresh ink and popped the cd into my player. My first impression. Hmph. What is this? I was confused. It was weird. I listened to it all the way through and I was still perplexed. I forced myself to listen to it one more time and then, I walked away. I wouldn't..

In The Zone - Britney Spears: They Hooked Up...And I Mean HOOKED UP!
Review created: 11/19/03

Pros:
all the songs are very different, fun to listen to

Cons:
um...the news doesn't play Madonna's and Britney's kiss enough...

Awww....cute Britney Spears came out with another album. She just needed more money, and she needed to become even more popular. But that s okay, because she does have some talent. Britney Spears is more than just a singer. She s also a really, really good dancer, in my opinion. She dances to almost all the songs that she performs, and all of the dances look really hard to do and must take a lot of time to learn. Britney Spears is a teenybopper blonde who s been singing since she was a little kid. She s sung all different types of songs, and no one thought that her sweet little face would be..

Britney Spears' In The Zone - She's Not A Little Girl Anymore
Review created: 11/09/03
by: cletta1201 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
vocals, production

Cons:
a few fumbles

Imagine just for a split second that you were a teenager (and now a twenty-something) from a small southern town in Louisiana and before you know it; you ve been catapulted to an astronomical level of stardom. Your every move is captured by the paparazzo and scrutinized by the entire world. You live your life beneath the most infinitesimally smallest of microscopes losing you virginity to America s favorite white boy (Justin Timberlake). You re the girl on the wall of pre-pub-escent young boys and you ve been elected the role model for adolescent girls worldwide. WHEW! Sounds like a whole...

Britney Spears Is In The Zone Like Turbo And Ozone
Review created: 12/05/03
by: roheblius -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Toxic is a jam

Cons:
Most everything else is stale

I've always wanted to write "like Turbo and Ozone" in a review title. I don't know. Maybe I've seen Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo one too many times. What do Turbo and Ozone have to do with Britney's album? Absolutely nothing. But the way Britney steals her sound to recreate herself for this album, maybe she'll want to just do a full album singing over break beats for her next album. Or how about bringing Turbo and Ozone back to finish the Breakin' trilogy. Breakin' 3: The Return of the BBoy? Honestly, we have a ton of great reviews on this album already. All the "Britney's back", "she's...

Not Tonight Britney, I Have a Headache
Review created: 11/26/03
by: plorentz -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
"Me Against the Music", "Breathe On Me", "Brave New Girl"

Cons:
"(I Got That) Boom Boom" - the single most disturbing song I've heard this year.

I m exhausted. I just finished listening to Britney Spears fourth album In the Zone , and I think what I need right now is a scalding hot shower, a six-pack of Leinenkugel s, and a big, bearded, flannel-wearin , deer-huntin man. I have to say that I ve been rootin for Britney all along. Of all the former Mouseketeers who saturated Top 40 radio as the 20th Century came to a close, she was the one I d hoped would last. She was cute. She was fun. I loved her. At the same time, I feel that as one of her fans, I may have driven her to an album like this, which, at the risk of sounding like a prude.
