In Rainbows [Digipak] - Radiohead (CD)

i use ebay for the deals and ease over going out and shopping. this item was misrepresented by seller to be the extended version of the cd. the seller does not reply to email. now he left me negative feedback as a retaliation for the negative comment i left him. i guess opening a dispute is the only way to force some sellers to communicate. i didn't want to bother as paypal has been less than helpfull in the past and at this point i wasn't saving myself any trouble over going out and buying in store.
next time i will make sure seller has over 98% rating.

The first time I listened to this CD I wasn't sure what to think, some songs I liked, some I wasn't sure on. Anyway, after listening to it a few more times it grew on me big time. There's a little bit of everything on this CD and personally I think it's awesome. I recently saw them in concert and they rock. I highly recommend this CD.

Take everything from OK Computer, compress it into a disease, spread it to millions, then lie about it. In Rainbows makes you want to do bad things to good people. And then get away with it. Scott-free, like a good apple. You just wash it, and the varnish goes away.The pesticides just won't matter, not unlike a charity car-wash. They'll try their best, but it will never be good enough for you, the ever-important consumer. Where would we be now, if not for you? Rapture? I doubt it. But hey, good luck, ya'll! Nascar's depending on it. Go get them organic substitutes. But for cHRIST's sake, make sure you brag about how progressive you are. That ticket to heaven is just inflating its' revenues. "Forget everything you think you know about 'rapture'". When your' gOD decides to come back to collect his precious, precious children, who have yet to commit a sin against the "almighty", and/or "the way, the life,& the truth", you can just bask in your own glory. Regret not your life of apathy, nor your complete disregard of the 10 commandments. Regardless of all of those "white lies", or the disrespect you've shown to your neighbors, let alone the absolute lack of respect you've shown to your mother/father. You may in fact be in violation of every one of these statements, or the only one who can verify that all that you have completed in your life, was to profit none other but yourself. Just how much sense does all of this make? If you're sober, abstinent, and the blood of cHRIST is pumping through your veins, this should come as no surprise. But if you are, without question, a "fornicating heathen", or one who does not follow the path of the lord, I have this to say to you: "Just how much must you sacrifice, in order to please some benevolent / malevolent super-being, in order to gain some form of being pious enough to redeem yourself as worthy of the 'second coming'"? As for myself, no "god" could ever distract me from my own needs. I do as I please, I take what I need, and I offer unto those in need the wisdom of how to live under ones' own discretion. "He who is under an "Invisible Judgement", shall never inherit the freedom of one who is not." Disregard all of which you've learned thus far, in terms of 'biblical scholarship', and for perhaps the first time in your life, do as you please. Need I say more? For those of you who weren't paying attention, comprehend this: " You are your own gOD, capable of forcing your will upon those who are blind to the inevitable". Your disease is incapable of being cured.

It's been a while since Radiohead has released any new material as a group, which made me decide to purchase this (and the fact they're my all time favorite band). This, delivers. In my opinion, it's almost a blend of sorts, between Pablo Honey, The Bends, (the earlier RH) and OK Computer, Hail to the Thief (later RH). There's some 'classic' sounds, mixed with their newer, sound experimentations. I really do like this album. The only 'downside' is there's only 10 tracks; I don't know if there was more, and the amount released was limited, and there'll be a B-sides album, as there is a few Radiohead 'unreleased' albums out there...

It came in one day, and brand new condition. I liked everything there is nothing i didnt like about this seller.

Still the masters of intelligent, funky, moody, hard core jams all within the same CD. Make sure you get the 18 track version for more fun!

Radiohead never fails to put out a awesome Cd....this one has so much feeling,the music is beautiful,no really it is...it feels as if ur depressed while being in love...does that make sence? well to me it does.Just sit back and listen to how truly amazing they are....

Excellent new lp from a great band. Weird Fishes makes this a superb lp. Every song flows and production is perfection.

I bought this so i could have the extra tracks and i just love this cd, it may be one of the if not the best radiohead cd to date. I cant get enough of it, i love every track.

For the die hard Radiohead fans, this CD is a must. I enjoyed this CD thoroughly and plan to listen to it more in the future, but for me it does not compare to OK computer. Nonetheless this CD was a great one, and thanks Thom and the group for letting us decide what to pay for it! :D

Its more of the same from radio head, the same chill and mellow sound but delivered in a new way, as always.

A GREAT CD FROM A GREAT BAND ALL THE SONGS ARE WONDERFUL I HAVE ALL THE ALBUMS THAT THIS BAND HAD RELIESED IN THE PAST YEARS AND ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER.

How do you write a review about the most glowingly reviewed album of the year? You don't, really, only add to the accolades, which in this case are wholly deserved. The thing that got me about this album is it's a lot warmer than the most recent previous Radiohead albums, and it seems more accessible, but they have not sacrificed one iota of Radiohead's diffuse characteristics. In other words it's a pseudo-pop masterpiece but composed in the ether, and you get the feeling Thom Yorke's voice is just an instrument of sound more than anything. Great, but not too overt, and a good synthesis of what we've heard before from Radiohead, albeit not entirely in this combination.

I wanted this CD since I heard it came out. Saw it at Target for 9.99+tax. Was able to get it for 10% less on E-bay and just wait until it was delivered right to my door. I love e-bay!

Bought it because I saw it ranked at the top of many best of 2007 CD's. It's alright, but it didn't meet my high expectations.

BRILLIANT!!! NO MATTER WHAT RADIOHEAD COMES OUT WITH, THEIR MUSIC ALWAYS TAKE YOU SOME PLACE. A MENTAL QUENCHING, YET YOU WANT MORE. RWK, 57 YEARS OLD.

Radiohead is the best band of our time. This CD is worth buying as is all of their albums. Reminiscent of OK Computer, Hail to the Theif and Thom Yorke's solo album, Eraser. The bomb.

I bought this album not expecting too much and perhaps that is why I was pleasantly surprised. In Rainbows is a very solid album and tends to avoid both the early rock and the later experimental sounds that the band is best known for. While it is accessible, it is certainly not mainstream which means that it could alienate some fans and borderline fans while at the same time reach a new audience. I guess it all comes out in the wash. 4 1/2 Stars.

Great cd! Radiohead has done a phenomenal job of transitioning from track to track.It really shows how much this band is so far ahead of every other band out there!my only complain is that there is not more tracks!!

As a devoted Radiohead fan, one of the things I hear most about this band is often that there are two melodic styles of Radiohead - Radiohead before Kid A, and Radiohead after Kid A. While I personally loved the synthesized and modulated droniness, I was always nostalgic for tracks like The Bends' "Just" or OK Computer's "Airbag." Radiohead's In Rainbows is the perfect fusion of everything you liked about the progressive rock days and the eerie and stylistic computer tones of Kid A and beyond. This is a MUST for any Radiohead superfan and a great exploratory CD even for those new to this band's mind-blowing ingenuity and depth.
