Pros:
Great music, lots of variety good stories of the songs.
Cons:
Anonymous doesn't have much of an identiy.
Garth Brooks is an artist that has managed to break numerous boundaries in country music. Before Brooks there was really no union between country and pop. Yet when Brooks shattered records with his second album No Fences in 1990 the flood gates between the two genres opened. Country traditionalists were not thrilled with the fact he combined elements of seventies balladeers like Billy Joel and the arena rock bombasticness of groups like Aerosmith and cross-pollinated it with the likes of Hank Williams Jr. or Merle Haggard. So basically every country-pop crossover that followed owes him a huge.

Pros:
Great diversity in music; moral messages are abundant.
Cons:
A couple songs aren't for kids.<BR/>It's also too short.
Let me start off by saying that I haven't listened to this CD in a while, so I'm doing this purely from memory. With In Pieces Garth Brooks' hit record from 1993, we hear a diverse musical selection, ranging from hard rocking numbers all the way to jazz. Standing Outside the Fire is a good start to the album. It's a rock song, that has a good moral value: Take chances, even if you get hurt in the process. One has to watch the video for the song to get it. If you haven't seen it, I won't ruin it. The highlight of the song: A drum solo in the middle. The Night I Called the Old Man Out is...
