Yes, it may have been a "JOKE" to his previously adoring fans of the yesteryear, but it's the ultimate Party Crasher. I played this for my co-workers to "test for effect", and they went nuts. First it was, "Oh my God!", then it wears on to you after the first half a dozen times. It is definately a ear-opener for some of the Rock / Metal classics. I am waiting for Volume II to come out. I am not ashamed to own this CD, and pass along it's soothing sounds to others.
This is truly the best Christmas present for someone you really care about. What in the world Pat Boone was thinking I have no idea. The music is so bad it cannot be measured with existing technology.

Pros: Can understand a few lyrics, I couldn't before
Cons: Arrrrrgh!!!!
I GIVE! Is this a serious musical recording or a spoof? It has a veneer of being authentic, with the big band sound and production and a few guest appearances by the original recording artists. Unfortunately, as either a serious recording or a joke it falls flat on it's face and the band marches over it. What am I talking about? Pat Boone, Arrrgh, that's who! The antithesis of the American way of life. The guy that would take us back to the fifties and Father Knows Best, The guy who made white bucks famous. White Bucks? Forget it! The guy who almost made Rock and Roll sound saintly. If there..

In the Mood for a Messed Up Album?

Pros: Good conversion, guest musicians
Cons: Some bad conversions, some boring supermarket-worthy tracks
Pat Boone has gone down a very strange route with this album, but he did this before Lounge Against The Machine released their first album, and for that I must give him credit. Besides, this is in fact more than just lounge music. This actually has some thumpin drums, loud trumpets, and great backup singers. He went the whole nine yards when producing this album. If you look at the booklet, there s an explanation of just where the idea for the album came from. Pat Boone is apparently an open-minded individual after all, and he simply wants to make his genre more accessible to metalheads. He...

Great For a Laugh

Pros: Causes Side Splitting Laughter
Cons: Pat Boone's Voice
I was just flipping through all my CD's when I came across this one. I had pretty much forgotten I even owned Pat Boone's No More Mr. Nice Guy. I received this as a gag gift from a friend of mine, listened and laughed to it once, played parts of it on several occasions for friends of mine to laugh at and goof on...and then I put it away and kind of forgot about it. What Pat Boone has done on this album is take a bunch of classic heavy metal rock songs and remake them. But not into a different rock version...he has remade them into swingy, jazz songs. Almost all the guitars have been taken out.

Buy it to laugh, buy it to annoy others.

Pros: Hilarious and truly one of the strangest works ever recorded for popular culture.
Cons: Shows how bad the lyrics were on some metal songs (maybe a pro?)
I've heard the albums of Shatner rapping to "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds", his counterpart Spock doing "If I Had a Hammer", Joe Pesci's Italian-Mob-Guy-Sings, and other notables. I really rank this as my all time favorite off-the-wall recording. When the media years ago broke the news of this album being released everyone portrayed it to say that Mr. Christian Pat Boone had gone to the "devil" and was now doing a heavy metal album. Well the only thing heavy metal about this album (other than some heavy metal guest performers) are the lyrics. The entire album is a cover of metal tunes in the.
