I LOVE THIS SERIES ! It's not like reading some masterpiece of mystery, it's just a fun romp into the world of a future detective. You don't have to sit and rethink every little detail, or bust your brain cells to figure it out. You just have to enjoy the ride, and forget your troubles for a little while. It's a good hot tub/hammock/front porch swing kind of book. This series just gets better.

Several years ago, I started reading the In Death series by J.D. Robb. I was quickly hooked on the series and picked up all the books that were out at that time. I now get the new books as soon as they are released. I love these books and recently started to read the books again. I just finished reading Immortal in Death again, the third book in the series. The In Death series is a futuristic mystery/romance series. Immortal in Death takes place in 2058. Robb created a very interesting futuristic world for the series that included futuristic gadgets. J.D. Robb certainly did not disappoint me with her third book in the series, Immortal in Death. This is a series that surrounds the life of Lieutenant Eve Dallas and the extremely difficult to solve cases that seem to continue to turn up. In addition, it seems that each of these cases involves at least one, if not more, highly public person. This always brings a lot of media into the picture and a lot of questions that seem to have no answers. ==============================

As with all the novels in JD Robb's "Death" series, "Immortal in Death" is an excellent book. It is very well written, with a fast paced plot, interesting, three-dimensional characters, and exciting story. The chemistry between Dallas and Roarke, as always, is white hot. JD Robb's writing style is perfect and causes the reader to not only identify with each of the characters, but also to actually feel like you're "in" the story. I look forward to reading each of the books in this series (the first was Glory in Death, and now there are about 8 or 9 of them--all of them excellent) because I...
