Why is this movie not more well known? Story of Beethovan has always intrigued me. A brilliant composer who lost his hearing and then wrote an "Ode to JOY"? this is simply a great depiction of a great story, albeit fiction or speculation. Gary Oldham is outstanding as is the whole cast. I have it on VHs and now on BluRay and cannot watch it without being broght to tears. This demands much more accolades that it ever has gotten.

Immortal Beloved - The story of Beethoven. This is a very entertaining movie. I'm sure there are some things that are not factual. The story of his Immortal Beloved is believed to be true though and its a good story as well. See this movie.
