This was a replacement copy for my wife. I had bought the first copy a couple of years ago and she absolutely loved it but somehow managed to misplace the disc while holding onto the case. For her, this is Rod Stewart at his finest singing lots of his most memorable songs. If she could have only one of his albums, it would be this one.
I learned to love Rod's gravelly voice when I heard "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" on the sound system at a Best Buy store. This album was bought when I heard one of the songs on Yahoo! radio, it gives a link to purchase the album, and there you are!
I have loved Rod Stewart and his songs since high school. The love of my life, my soulmate gave me that cd. It was our songs and our cd. My vehicle was stolen with that cd among others in a cd holder. I was devasted. I had the original case he had given me but no cd. I found one in great condition on Half com by Ebay.
Rod Stewart is my favorite artist and I only have cassettes. So I thought what better way to modernize my collection than to buy CDs on E bay!! You can always find what you what at a great price. This time was no diffrent. The CD was priced right and in excellent condition. The seller was fast to ship and I am listening to my man Rod on my CD player. What more could you ask for.
Item was exactly as promised. CD was in very good condition with only the jewel case cracked. Since I had many empty ones on hand, it wasn't an issue. With this being one of my all time fravorites, I'm still enjoying it!
This one covers Rod Stewart with some of his best tracks. With a touch of excitement to the soothing romance. This is the one that holds a variety of his best! One you would listen to over and over again.

Dreamin' of Slow Dancing with Rod Stewart

Pros: Romantic, Sensual
Cons: Not the original "Forever Young"
If I were to say the name "Rod Stewart" you would more than likely get a visual in your mind of a wiry, slim, super-hyped-up fellow with spiked up blonde hair, jumping around a stage in skin-tight breeches (ok, I'm from the South....we call any article of clothing that has 2 legs and is worn from the waist down "breeches"....so shoot me..). Maybe it was just me, but when I used to think of Rod Stewart, I would see him there, dancing around wildly, with all of this energy and exuberance. That was before I purchased his 1996 CD, If We Fall in Love Tonight. It is neither energetic or exuberant...

"I'll Show You Ambient Music, You Show Me Schlock Music" (ISYMYSMY) Write-Off

Pros: Some fine ballads from Rod "The Mod" Stewart.
Cons: A Bunch of Adult Contemporary Schlock that made Rod uncool for a bunch of years.
When my fellow Epinions cohort and King of Rock himself, MattA75, decided to create another I ll Show You Mine, You Show Me Yours write-off where the object is to make your partner review an album that he/she reviewed and vice versa. I was excited since I knew I was going to give someone the chance to listen to music that my partner wouldn t have heard. My partner ended up being Aerocat, a mainstream rock woman who is into the rocking grooves of her favorite band Aerosmith. After some mind-bending decisions and email conversations with Aerocat, I decided that the CD that she should review is..

A Year's Search For One Song

Pros: I got the song I wanted plus other beautiful ones
Cons: The last track~because of this I give the album a 4
I was riding in my car when I first heard "Downtown Train" on the radio. I not only liked the beat to the song, I liked the voice of the person who was singing it. It came to be quite a disappointment to me when the dee-jay never announced who sang it. This happened three different times when finally I pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed a scrap of paper and a pen and scribbled some of the words down. It didn't matter who I asked, no one knew who the singer was. Even e-mails to the radio station didn't produce any results. It took me a year to find out. It wasn't until I was in a...
