Very good, I love it. Reminds me of when I was younger and watching the I Love Lucy Show for the first time. I have a fond contection to the "Lucy and the Lucy show."
I purchased the I Love Lucy Paper Dolls by Allan Glaser (2004) last month as a very special birthday gift. The person I bought them for was an aunt of mine, a quite fussy person to buy gifts for, yet this set of paper dolls was a lovely Lucy collectible and was of excellent quality. My aunt was thrilled and surprised by such a gift. Lucy has always been a favorite comic medium of hers and she was especially delighted with the quality of the paper dolls as well as the quantity of information included in the paper doll book itself regarding each outfit provided for the Lucy paperdolls regarding the episodes and time periods in which she wore each and every outfit. The outfits were many and were colorful. The Lucy paper dolls looked very much like the real person and were more then pleasing in their own right. Overall I would say this as a gift and a collectible one at that, was truly a great pleasure and success.
I was born the same year as "Little Ricky" - 1952 - and I grew up watching I LOVE LUCY reruns. What great fun to see all of the clothes that I remember in black and white in full color in this paper doll book. I'm NOT going to cut it up! I'm just going to enjoy looking!
If you are a Lucille Ball fan, you are going to love these paper dolls. There are pages of outfits that are replicas of the classic outfits that she wore in her television show, I Love Lucy. Each outfit has a page with a photo that describes the show in which she wore the outfit.
This collectible item is well made and put together nicely. It is a great tribute to a very fashionable star and lady. Lucy Ricardo was a wacky character but her outfits on the show were legendary and this book gives you everything you want to know about the fashions you saw her wear in the television show.
This book has a wide audience. It will appeal to the fan of the show as well as to fashion designers and people who collect fashion from the 1950's.
I enjoyed this book as a reference and guide as well as a collectible. I Love Lucy is a classic show and Lucille Ball is a legend. This is a must have collectible for the Lucy fan!
