I bought this book after a friend of mine made fudge from this book, which tasted so good! So far I've made 2 recipes, and they were excellent. All of the recipes are relatively easy and taste great. The writer replaces fat with things like apple sauce or she uses fat free ingredients. You will get lots of tips and great ideas from this book. I highly recommend it and you should def. try the fudge and muffins recipe. I'm looking forward to making and trying new things.
This book has so many amazing LOW calorie recipes ideas! I triple love the "Survival Guides". This book is a must have for anyone trying to make healthier choices day to day.
I have been subscribing to the Hungry-girl website for a few months and really enjoyed the recipes she had listed. When I realized she had a book with even more recipes, I was thrilled. I love that this book lists so many easy and healthy recipes. I gave this book to my aunt who is on Weight Watchers and she was happy that she could track her points with these simple recipes. This book is definitely on trend with the new no diet diet, which is what I'm doing to manage my weight. With these recipes, you can still watch your weight without feeling deprived of your favorite foods and drinks, especially coffee drinks.
I really liked this book because it had a lot of good ideas. BUT it also has a lot of tofu and things like that which I have not tried and am not really eager to try (although I did buy some this week and it better be good-hahaha). So some of the recipes don't have "real" food but lots of "substitutions".
This book was rec'd in excellent, brand new condition, just as described. The cost of the book at a buy-it-now & also the shipping charges were very reasonable.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Hungry Girl cook book. It is the perfect companion to help calm the cravings for things that are pretty bad for you. I bought this on the recommendation of my Weight Watchers group and am SSOO glad that I was paying attention when they were discussing it. My only complaint is that it should be twice as big--I'm hoping for another edition!!!
This was a great cook book. I love it. It is good for single people counting calories. Everyone watching their weight should read this book and keep it close at hand.
I receive hungry girl emails every morning and I love that I have access to all the recipes in my own kitchen! The recipes are simple and most are very quick. I can eat the foods I love with less guilt now!!! Awesome book!!!
This cookbook is one of the best I have ever bought. There are so many recipes that are for the things I like to eat. There are somethings that I don't care for but I just skip over and get to the "good stuff". I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for ways to eat healthy and still enjoy the food.
I really like the Hungry Girl email newsletter but the cookbook was only ok. It would have been nice to have more pictures and I don't like the way it was organized!
I absolutely love this book. It is full of appetizing recipes that anyone can enjoy. It's not your typical diet book either - recipes include such things as Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, and TONS of Chocolate! There's even a recipe for sloppy joes although Hungry Girl calls them Sloppy Janes - my roommate can't wait to try them. Thanks to Hungry Girl eating healthy is fun!
I love that I can look up on the web site how many WW points each recipe is and see the pictures of each recipe. These are easy to make recipes for the real world. I love it!!
it's just a great cookbook! Has all sorts of great recipes that are perfect for healthy cooking. The stats are included as well which makes it very easy to keep track of how many calories you are taking in per recipe. Would recommend it to anyone.
This is a MUST have book for anyone that wants to cut calories and still eat what you love. It not only has WONDERFUL recipes to cut down on fat and calories, but also GREAT tips on eating at restaurants, etc. I could not put this book down and when I was done, I couldn't wait to get to the store so that I could try the recipes.
After receiving emails from the Hungry Girl website for awhile - I found myself constantly referring back to a lot of the recipes. I was sooooo happy to hear about this cook book!! Great - fantastic - what more can I say!!!! THANKS SO MUCH for putting this book together - Just bought a sencon book for my daughter!!!
I get the Hunry Girl email and decided to order the book from ebay, and very glad I did. The perfect book for those wanting to watch their way of eating. I do wish it had the WW points listed at each recipe but I will figure those out. A good choice.
This is an informative and fun cookbook that gives easy to read and understand recipes. It is very well compiled with easy to follow directions and per serving info on all recipes. It gives lots of good tips on foods we've all eaten at restaurants and during holidays that will really make you think the next time you order or attend a holiday function concerning sodium, fat, etc. I've received Hungry Girl tips on line for a few months and when I read about this cookbook, I wanted to try it. The only thing I don't like is that it uses some ingredients that are not easily found in the grocery store, but it also gives substitutions that can be used.
I love how this book uses everyday ingredients and makes all the recipes simple and easy to follow. All the extra tools are valuable as well. Overall, this is a great selection.
