Very adequate book for the novice engine tuner. Turbo physics of old are still applicable in todays vehicles, though strangely under-utilized. Curious, isn't it?
I wonder why Mazda hasn't made a turbo charged 0.5 liter rotary yet. It would probably get like 150 mpg on the highway, and with proper controls implemented, watercooling, intake and exhaust bypass valves... you could still manage over 200Hp on demand. Nevermind. I forgot about the whole Big Oil - Auto Industry partership conspiracy!...
Don't really know why I bought it. Maybe I thought it would be cool to turbocharge my 99 camry after dumping thousands into beefing up connecting rods and shafts, not to mention shortening the stroke, changing the computer - which this book doesn't really cover - (printed in the 70's).
Maybe this would make a good eBook resell. YES! Pre 1978 with expired copyright. Too bad the pages are all tattered...
