Hoover U5507900 Elite™ Rewind™ Bagless Upright Vacuum

I am not easily impressed by a vacuum. When I was a kid, my mother used a Hoover for over 30 years before it wore out. The new vacuums seem to fill up their bags in 15 minutes and never had the suction to clean properly. This vacuum is easy to move. The cords does retract but be carefully with it. The end will fly around and can hit you. It has good suction. It pulls up dust and dog hair. The transparent cylinder allows to see when it is full. The cup can be emptied from the bottom or the top. The hose is easy to remove if you have to get a object plugging it. This has happened a couple times. Red is my favorite color but some people will find it bright. It is reasonably priced. I feel it works as well as units that costs 3 times as much.

I bought this vacuum cleaner because I needed a new one. I had never owned a bagless vacuum cleaner and was anxious to have one since I've always hated removing those dirty bags from the old type of vacuum cleaner. After only using it 10 times or less, it simply died. It started making a very odd noise one day as I was using it and shortly thereafter that was the end of it! I owned it for six months. I don't know that I'll buy any more vacuum cleaners on eBay. This purchase was just a waste of money.

It is a good product, esasy to operate and ecnomical. On the very first day I started to work on it and collected lot of dust and carpet threads which I cannot collect from my old vacuum cleaner.

MY HOOVER BROKE DOWN AFTER 4 USES IN A 10X10 ROOM. AFTER DRIVING 200 MILES TO A REPAIR SHOP THAT HAD BEEN CLOSED, I CALLED AND WAS ON HOLD FOR AT LEAST 45 MINUTES TO BE TOLD THAT I WOULD STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING TO SEND IN MY VACUUM. I SHIPPED IT BACK TO THEM FOR AN ADDITIONAL $30.

AFTER 3 MORE WEEKS I STILL HADN'T RECEIVED MY NEW VACUUM, OR HAD ANY KIND OF FOLLOW UP CALL, SO I CALLED 3 TIMES, BEING ON HOLD FOREVER EACH TIME, UNTIL I COULD FINALLY GET A HOLD OF THE PERSON THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO TALK TO. ALL THEY HAD TO SAY WAS, WELL WE NEVER GOT IT (THEY NEVER SAID WE HAD TO GET A TRACKING NUMBER)AND SINCE YOU CAN'T PROVE YOU SENT IT THEN WE AREN'T GOING TO SEND YOU A NEW VACUUM. EVERYONE GIVES YOU THE RUN AROUND AND NO ONE WILL EVER RETURN YOUR CALLS WHEN YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE FOR THEM.

DO NOT BUY A HOOVER UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO BREAK DOWN AND GET THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY/VACUUM AND YOU WILL NEVER GET THE VACUUM FIXED OR REPAIRED. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WILL SCREW YOU ANY WAY THEY CAN.

Very happy with the Elite Rewind vacuum. There is nothing better than pushing a button & having the cord disappear. I never realized how poorly my other vacuum worked until I got this. The suction is fantastic. It does a wonderful job . Easy to empty out. I really have nothing bad to say about this vacuum. I plan on buying another one for our cottage. Love it.

Item was well represented and is same a you find in local stores. The vender is a fast shipper. Vacum works great and arrived with easy instruction for assembly.

I have always used a Kirby, my mother swears by them. Well about 2 weeks ago I was using this wonderful vacuum and low and behold if it didn't catch on fire...So began my search for a new vacuum.....I looked at all reviews and read consumers digest and all had really good things to say about the Hoover rewind, so after alot of thought I bought it WOAH am I glad I did....I don't believe my dog or my cat have any fur left on them after what I have dumped out of this vacuum..It's not bulky like many other uprights, my 7 and 11 year olds use this without a problem. You do have to be careful around cords because it will suck them up, but in a vacuum I think that is a plus. This vacuum has many features the rewind cord, the ability to dump the container fromt he bottom so your hand never touch it, and the attachable little power nozzle is just as powerful.! If you are in the market for a vacuum take a real good hard look at this one...

all i can say is that i have a kirby vacuum and the hoover elite kills it in every way ,try one you wont be dissapointed..
