Holiday Inn (2006, DVD)

I bought this tape hoping it would be as good as White Christmas, which also starred Bing Crosby. Unfortunately it paled in comparison. Sadly, this is more farce with several characters routinely cheating on their fiancees. While Bing did get his girl in the end, the other movie was a far better choice for a holiday movie.

This is one of the most beautiful ways to observe the holidays, by viewing Holiday Inn. Now that I have a DVD, I wanted this to be part of my DVD collection.

This movie was bought for my mother.Its a great classic movie.Just sit down on a cold winter night snuggle up with a blanket and bowl of popcorn and get lost in the movies of yesterday.

I bought this because my husband wanted it on DVD for our collection. I had never seen or heard of it. It was fun to watch. I didn't realize it was black and white when I bought it, but in the end I think that added to the charm.

I love the movie Holiday Inn. It is somewhat of a companion movie to White Christmas featuring Bing Crosby. The film also features Fred Astaire and is classic Hollywood. The film is Black and White and features one musical number after the next. They premise of the movie is that Bing Crosby is tired of show business and wants to only work a few days a year. He buys a farm and decides to open a place called Holiday Inn, where he puts on musical shows with a small cast on every holiday. The shows include a dinner by the classic black cook and housekeeper who plays a wonderul role in the film as well. I hope you will givie Holiday Inn a look. It's a great film.

I bought several classic movies for my wife.....she cried as her VHS no longer worked. GREAT DVD's made a movie lover happy!!

Everything was good but shipping could have been a little bit faster for me, but all in all everything was great.

This is a movie that the older generation, like myself, will enjoy. We
remember the actors when they were in their younger years, and it takes us
back to our own. It is a classic "oldie" .... no violence...no drunkenness...
...just good music, dancing, and humor. A classic remembrance of yesteryear,
it will be around ...and popular... as long as there are senior citizens who
remember Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. I was glad to see it again...and mom
and I will watch it again each holiday season that we get to enjoy.

I purchased the Holiday Inn DVD a few weeks back and am thrilled to have it as a part of my CD collection. It has been difficult to locate this particular CD, especailly after the holiday season has passed. The seller provided terrific communication, and the item was delivered in a timely manner. I dislike this seller due to the fact that I have not recieved it yet. I ordered it on 12/24/2006 and have not recieved it yet. I wanted it because it is one of my husbands favorite movies. and the seller is not even reachable because i have tried to contact about this issue.
