Pros:
Over an hours of some of the hottest songs of the 80's.

Cons:
Sussudio is not in the dictionary.

To some Phil Collins is known as one of the most successful pop artist of the 1980s. I ve been a fan of Phil Collins for a very long time; perhaps that s why I enjoy listening to his 1998 CD titled, PHIL COLLINS HITS . Despite my teenagers booing my nostalgic taste for the good old days when Don Johnson was the epitome of kool and Phil Collins was the pop icon of the airwaves. The 16 songs on this CD continue to give me 1 hour and 12 minutes of continuous back-to-back tunes that have stood the test of time. Phil Collins Hits - 1998 Tracks is packed with songs including: 1. Another Day In...

All The "Hits"? Well, Not Quite...

Pros:
Some of the Eighties and early Nineties' best songs.

Cons:
Not as comprehensive as it should be.

I tend to live and die by the Greatest Hits collection. As a child of 80's-early 90's Top 40 radio, i've come to realize that most of the artists I liked from my youth sound best when they're distilled into a quick overview of their biggest pop moments. When you listen to greatest hits albums by the likes of Duran Duran or En Vogue (or the upcoming TLC one), it actually makes the case for that artist as a credible one, as opposed to a band that made a bunch of great singles on a bunch of average-to-slightly-above (or below) albums. Phil Collins has had a very long career that may seem a bit...

Pros:
A comprehensive collection of PHil Collins best

Cons:
A few songs aren't really that good

Phil Collins has been a major force on the pop scene since the early eighties when he was carousing with Peter Gabriel and co. in Genesis. He has had morality songs, light-hearted fare, steamy love songs and sincere ballads. All this has been done in his own non-embellished way were he's simply making us see that their two sides to every story. Although I am not a big enough fan to own every album I am very satisfied with my greatest hits collection. The album opens with the open ended morality tale "Another Day In Paradise". Introducing his audience to a vague encounter of homelessness and...

Pros:
Choc-a-bloc with cheesy pop goodness.

Cons:
Couple of songs that aren t here, and really should be. One dud.

Ah, Phil Collins. My first memory of his music would be when I was, hmm, about 10 or so, and my parents persistently played one of his CDs (can t remember which...) in the car. It prompted me on many occasions to demand that they turn the awful music off , despite the fact I actually quite liked some of his songs. Why? Well, when you were 10, surely you wouldn t readily admit to liking music that your parents liked? Or perhaps that was just me, and my intolerable stubbornness beginning to surface at an early age? Well, either way, there, in a nutshell, was my introduction to Phil Collins. Ten.

Pros:
Some of the big hits showing Phil at his musical best

Cons:
Every greatest hits album has some songs you disagree with

Many have called Phil Collins bubblegum rock. If that s the case, by all means please give me more bubblegum! This version of Phil s greatest hits contains 16 songs. For a career that hasn t always been solo, that s not a bad number of quality hits. Of course, I don t agree with all of them, but the album flows well anyway. This is great Friday afternoon office music to get you cranked up for when the quitting whistle blows and you yell YABA DABA DOO and slide down the brontosaurus tail and into your car oh wait sorry got a little carried away there. This album has a couple of songs provided..
