I've been a long time David Benoit fan, so I look for any recordings of his that I have not purchased yet. This is one of my favorites, the other being Dave's tribute to Bill Evans "A Letter to Evan". David is teamed up with Christian McBride on bass and Peter Erskine on drums. The recording was mastered by Doug Sax. This is quite an assemblage of talented musicians and technicians. The most prominent audio aspect that I noticed on this recording was the bass. There are also guest appearances with Take 6 and Al Jarreau on the two vocal numbers. The CD begins with Vince Guaraldi playing "Linus.
