HEAVEN AND EARTH BY NORA ROBERTS (2001)
Review created: 05/10/08

I bought this because I love Nora Roberts and the older books are hard to find, even in the library. What I love is that she's an excellent story teller and her books aren't your usually cookie cutter story that is so predictable. She writes a lot of books in a series so you can really get in depth with her characters and feel like you know them. What I don't like is that she's written so many good books and I don't have time to read them all!

  Three Sisters Island Trilogy

I like Nora Roberts' ability to develop the characters so you feel like you really know them. This triology has three very strong female characters, as well as three very strong male characters. Add in the paranormal aspect to the storyline, and Nora Roberts did an amazing job! She stretches the imagination, that is for sure.

good price and a Nora Roberts fan. Ebay for the most part has been a good experience for me with only getting burned once by a seller.

This is the first book in The Three Sisters Trilogy by Nora Roberts. A great read. Nora Roberts makes it easy to be "into" her characters. Must read the trilogy in orders. An excellent series and fun read.

Heaven & Earth ~ Nora Robers

I have not read a Nora Roberts book I don't like. This is book 2 of the Three Sisters trilogy, it is about Ripley Todd, the Deputy of Three Sisters Island. She wants to ignore the fact that she is one of three witches that need to come together to save there little island off the coast of Mass. She meets a rich, highly intelligent, and sexy man who is researching the Three Sisters legend and aggravates Ripley during the process, so much they finally fall in love and he helps her to begin accepting her powers again. It is wonderfully romantic and interesting at the same time. Not mushy-mushy, annoying romantic, but like I believe all Nora Roberts's books are, realistically romantic.

The Best of the Three Sisters Trilogy

Fans of Nora Roberts will love this second installment in the Three Sisters Trilogy. Ripley Todd's character is perfect as the witch in denial who goes up against paranormal researcher MacAllister Booke. The sparks practically fly off of the page. I enjoyed this one much more than either Dance Upon the Air or Face the Fire (the other two in the series). There is a sense of humor that makes it stand apart. Like most of the novels in Nora's trilogies, this is a stand-alone novel that does not require having read the first in the series. For those more familiar with Robert's suspense titles or earlier works, be warned: this is a paranormal romance filled with witches, wiccan beliefs and magic.

New Age Bell, Book & Candle Charms

Pros:
Engaging characters; Roberts' storytelling ability.

Cons:
None.

Spending more time on the New York Times Best Seller List than not, prolific novelist, Nora Roberts, has outdone herself in this trio of romance-suspense stories based on tiny Three Sister Island, just a ferry ride across the storm-tossed sea from the Massachusetts coast. This 2001 release, Heaven and Earth, is second in the series, of interconnected stories focusing on three women who also happen to be witches. Practicing the ancient Celtic form of Wiccan, or white magic, the trio also hold down daytime jobs, on this island of 3,000-some souls. Synopsis Three hundred years ago, a trio of...

  Witches Spells and Romance

Pros:
Intriguing story line

Cons:
Some scenes are a bit much

In my opinion, no one does a better trilogy than Nora Roberts. She leaves the reader anxious for the next installment in the series with her compelling stories of romance that leave you saying, "Ah ". The Three Sisters Island Trilogy is no exception and is wonderful. Since all three books are now in print, I suggest that you buy them at the same time so you don't have to wait until the next book is purchased. Nora Roberts has written several books dealing with witches as main characters (Donovan Series, being one of my favorites). She doesn't show the characters to be the stereotypical ideals.

Is The Deputy a Witch? Read Heaven and Earth to Find Out

Pros:
Second book in a series. Engrossing story.

Cons:
The last book in the series isn't out yet

Heaven and Earth is the newest book by Nora Roberts. This book is in paperback. Roberts published a new hardback about a month ago. She has published several books this year, six I think, not counting the reissues of some of her older books. I do like that I don't have to wait so long between her books, but it can be hard to keep up with all of them. Heaven and Earth is the second book in the Three Sisters Island trilogy. Dance Upon the Air was the first book in the series. It came out a few months ago. The third, and final book in the series will be out early next year. I'll give a brief...

Heaven and Earth: Witches and Romance

by: pippadaisy -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
quick, yet involving read

Cons:
I still can't find the other two books in my piles

Ah, summer. The time when I tend to toss most of my serious reading right out the window and stick to novels that I can read with one eye on the book and the other on the kids running through the sprinkler. By far, my favorite author for summer reading is Nora Roberts, a New York Times bestselling author who is known for sticking to the romance genre, but whose books regularly supersede the low expectations you have of romantic fiction. One of my favorites that warranted a re-read before I let it go on Bookcrossing.com is Heaven and Earth, the second of the Three Sisters trilogy. ::: Starting.

Heaven And Earth By Nora Roberts-A Magical Read
Review created: 06/08/02
by: mtbat -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
2ed In Trilogy, Interesting And Different

Cons:
Not Really

Reading Heaven And Earth by Nora Roberts is a lot like running into an old friend at the coffee shop. You sit down, share a cup and talk about old times. This book is a comfortable and familiar read with lots of familiar characters in it. Heaven And Earth is the second in Roberts Three Sisters Trilogy. This particular book features the 2ed Sister Ripley Todd. Ripley Todd is many things. She s Sheriff Zach Todd s Sister. She is a Deputy on the Isle of The Three Sisters. She is a stubborn, obnoxious almost pretty, very sexual woman. She is also a witch. But she doesn t want to be a witch,...
