Eastwood's directing, shopworn story bereft of new ideas
"Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and p!$$ napalm and I can put a round through a flea's @$$ at 200 meters. So why don't you go hump somebody else's leg, mutt-face, before I push yours in." GySgt. Tom Highway Along with his cowboy and cop personas, Clint Eastwood also played a soldier a couple of times. In Heartbreak Ridge he plays Gunnery Sergeant Tom Highway, an old school Marine, near the end of his career, sent back to Camp Lejeune to babysit Recon Platoon, home of incorrigibles. According to the screenplay, the movie takes place in 1983, the year of the Grenada.
