I love Nora Roberts and this is one of her best. Definately read the whole trilogy! Nora Roberts takes you into the Ireland of yesterday and you feel that you are a part of the culture.
For those of us who were raised on bedtime stories of fairies and princesses, this trilogy is an absolute must. If it is an immersion into Irish folklore, you will not be disappointed. It sizzles with adventure, sex and daily excitement. A book you won't put done till finished.

I looked for this book because it was book #3 of a trilogy, and having read book one, I wanted to get hold of the last 2 books. Found them easily on E-bay.
The mailing service was quick and affordable.

I bought this book firstly because I'm a huge Nora Roberts fan. I had picked up book 2 of this trilogy at a local thrift shop and found the first and second book at ebay.

Great trilogy! This one was a page burner, too!
Roberts continues to be true to her characters, and brings in a dashing new gentleman to toy with Darcy! I was just sorry the saga had to end.

I liked the whole Ireland setting, with its myths and tales. Makes me want to go to Ardmore. It makes me think that there really is a place called Ardmore, but I know there isn't one in Ireland. I looked it up. A friend recommended the series to me and I wanted to read about Ireland. I do want to go to Ireland and find the area that the author used as inspiration for her stories.

Darcy Gallagher meets her match on the Emerald Isle
Review created: 03/15/05
by: adriennefoster -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Excellently drawn characters, excellent depiction of provincial Ireland, has a ghost

Cons:
The passage of time is questionable, background legend of Carrick and Gwen

Just after reading Jewels of the Sun and Tears of the Moon, wouldn't a reader be wanting to move on to the third installment of the trilogy, Heart of the Sea? Brenna may have been a well-motivated character, but the daring countenance of Darcy Gallagher gives the third part of this set a really amusing edge that can engross anyone who likes a good showdown. This book is the best of the trio. While Darcy takes advantage of the vacation fund she has accumulated, she is on holiday in Paris when wealthy American entrepreneur Trevor Magee comes to Ardmore to build a small theatre next Gallagher's..

300 Years Apart and Still No Sensuality!

Pros:
Strong characters, wonderful descriptions

Cons:
The ending to the faerie portion was a let down.

In Jewels of the Sun and Tears of the Moon, we were treated to a glimpse of life in Ardmore, Ireland and exactly what that life entailed if you were a Gallagher. I followed Jude and Adain's love story in the first book and was hooked on this trilogy. Then came the story of Shawn and Brenna and I continued to be enthralled. (I've written reviews on both of these books). But I have to say, that even though I enjoyed the first two, I was anxiously awaiting the story of free-spirited Darcy Gallagher, and the outcome of the love shared between a faerie prince and the love he lost. Ok, so it sounds.

Sadly, the Final Book in the Trilogy
Review created: 04/24/02
by: lynettemarie -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Excellent writing and character development, great plot

Cons:
Not quite as good as the first two in the trilogy

Jewels of the Sun and Tears of the Moon being my favorite books of all time, I was a bit disappointed in this, the final episode. Having been entrenched in Ardmore with the first books, the fact that some of this one took place elsewhere irritated me. I like Darcy, but she is not quite as warm as Jude and Brenna, so that also colored my opinion a bit. Overall, it is still an excellent book, and tied in nicely with its counterparts. Beautiful Darcy Gallagher wants more from life. She loves her family and the pub that they own, but she wants to see things, do things, have things. She doesn't...

Heart of the Sea was great!

Pros:
Brought about a finale to Carrick and Gwen.

Cons:
NONE

Nora did it again. She has brought us into a trilogy, making us read them all as fast as possible so that we may find out what happens to our trapped lovers that have been waiting 300 years for 3 sets of true love to happen. Darcy is our main character in this ending of the trilogy. She is a vibrant young woman who knows what she wants in life. She is painted as selfish and cocky, yet it fits her as she has been seen in the past 2 books. Yet of course once fate has an eye on you to fall in love, you are lost. You just have to find a way to accept it and learn to yield yourself to true love....
