A good film, but not for my basketball loving kidsI bought this film because my sons love Ray Allen and were curious to see him in a motion picture. Unfortunately, I thought this film was PG-13, so when I saw the R rating, I knew it would be inappropriate for them. It's a good film and I will save it for my kids when they reach adulthood!

He Got Game (1998, DVD)i like that the product was brand new and was delivered in the time frame that it was said to be shipped and delivered. i brought this item because i had it on VHS but somehow the VHS got lost. i also like this movie.

I bought this dvd because I love Denzel. This movie was boring.
There were times when I thought, 'can we just get on with it?'.
In my opinion, it is a low budget, almost like home-made movie.
Let me explain this statement. The music chosen in a movie is
a large factor in the outcome in the viewing experience. Have
you ever taken some of your old 8mm home movies and had them put
on dvd? Well, we have and the person who did this for us used some
old instrumentals, just home-made boring, would rather have no
soundtrack music. That is my opinion of this movie, I wish I
didn't buy it, never saw it, but I still love Denzel!

this is a spik lee master piece with modern day theams that up and coming star athletes have to deal with. ray allen is fantastic and denzal washington is A+.I gave this 5/5 for for light out of darkness moral fiber that the end of the film brings. my item came as described.

This movie was quite interesting as a Man is sent to prison for murdering his wife. His only son is fantastic in Basketball and is ready to sign on to College Ball. The wardon at the prison wants the young man to play for his alma mater and sets a caveat to the prisoner that he is released temporarily to get his son to sign at his alma mater. You will see a heated debate between father and son.

Well, what do you get when you put an actual NBA basketball player with one of the best actors in Hollywood, Denzel Washington along with direction by Spike Lee? When He Got Game came to my neighborhood theatre it made for plenty of jokes but no ticket sales. It didn't sound all that great to me so I certainly didn't rush out and drop $7 on it.
