Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007, DVD)

I have alway enjoyed Harry Potter starting with the fact that my best friend loves it also. It took me awhile to get into it. Now I am really into the whole Harry Potter phase.

This movie was awesome. I thought it was by far the best in the series so far. I am a huge fan of the books, the first two movies were good, and the next two were ok. This movie is just as great as the book.

Great movie. Loved all the characters and everything going on. Would like to see the next continuation of the Harry Potter movies. Perhaps the velians get caught or other things.

I wasn't lucky this time to purchase for this item. For sure, the seller "stole" my money which means that person got my money and didn't send me the item. Everybody should beware with the name "smashin-deals" on ebay. He stated that he would ship the item after the customer purchased for it, but he did nothing until the customer got messed up and he replied that he wouldn't send the item to you, such a liar,I wasn't lucky this time

The book was voluminous, but the film filtered out extraneous subplots and situations that did not support the main plot. The film was well done and I continue to care about the characters. Daniel Radcliffe has developed the character of Harry through his own development as an actor and I will continue to look forward to additional films.

Understandably it is difficult to make a movie from a book, especially if the book is as thick as this one. However, there are much too many situations that just did not make it into the movie. It ended up with the movie looking a bit hacked. Additionally, I felt many scenes were depicted quite different from the book, which didn't need to be. This made it on the whole not a pleasant viewing. That being said, I am sure that if you have never read the book you might quite enjoy the movie.

These movies are for kids, yet they are obviously targeting for the appeal of adults. Why all the swearing? Adults are not expecting or desiring that in this movie series, and it serves only to offend the kids and those adults who are also offended by that kind of language. JK must feel incomplete and trying to gain acceptance from the world. Announcing the Gay inclination of Dumbledore was completely unnecessary. It wasn't in the books and wasn't in the lexicon, so why bother? Attention! Alert! Wake up! Most of the world is not Gay. Most of the parents out there try to teach their kids good values. This is not a blast blog on gay people, but is to serve as a voice of the masses...we want clean entertainment. JK did a fabulous job keeping us entertained with the books, (minus the swearing)but as the movies seem to get darker and darker, we find ourselves inclining more towards Narnia. PG should be the highest rating attempted for these movies. PG-13 is over the edge and we will not let our children watch them, even though they have read the books. So gather your millions from the movie take, but know this, that sum will not include our dollars. I know I am in the minority with my views, but my views are worth fighting for.

My wife is a Harry Potter nut and she seen the movie in the theaters and just wanted it for her collection at home. The movie is great and got it for a great price on e bay.

It was in excellent conditino, it shipped quickly, and there was a very fair price! This was an excellent product, and I would definitely consider buying from this seller again.

I know I saw this movie in the theaters, but I couldn't remember anything about it. I have been collecting all of the 2-disc editions of the Harry Potter movies, but I didn't want to pay the $25 retail cost that I've seen in Target and other stores. Would do business with this seller again.

Good movie, little darker and Harry Potter is a little Hairier or older. He does not look like the earlier character. But the movie is good with great graphics as usual. Story is alright.

I love the Harry Potter series and this movie did not disappoint. I appreciate that the characters (with the exception of Dumbledore, due to his passing away)remain the same for each movie. Can't wait for the next one!

I bought the DVD because I've read all the books and have seen the first four movies and enjoyed them enormously. The Order of the Phoenix was my favorite book and I wanted to see how they adapted it to the screen.

The movie was almost as good as the book. The only reason I say "almost" is because they had to cut so much of the book to have a reasonable length movie.

I would recommend this movie to everyone who enjoyed the Harry Potter books & movies. I would also recommend it to anyone who likes a good story!! Enjoy the movie.

I love the whole series..this one carries over details from the other films that you'll catch quickly. It is a step deeper toward the climax. These movies are watched over and over again in our house and they are timeless. Magic is always timeless.

This is the 5th movie in the Harry Potter series. The movie is better than the recent films, though doesn't measure up to the first two, which I believe are classics.

This closely follows the book with many short scenes, that are edited together well with good transition. This is the darkest story to date and may not be appropriate for youngsters. Yates does a good job as Director. I just wish the scenes were longer.

Great story, a hit for all fans. It's hard to say what is such a draw for audiences all over the world, when it comes to Harry Potter. Perhaps it is that this character appeals to both young and adult viewers, and the stories are entertaining for all generations.
I highly recommend it! 2 thumbs up!

The DVD arrived on time in excellent condition. My kids and I have watched it several and really enjoyed it. I would definitely buy other items by this seller.

the movie was too short for a large book. The book was the longest harry potter book and the movie was the shortest movie made they should have made it at least another hour longer. They cut out too much good things and caricatures
from the book, they cut out dobby and winkie (they cut her out of the last movie too) and they also cut out him telling his story to the reporter and hagred's story with the giants. The movie looked like a animation. If I didn't read the book the movie would be good.

Love all things Potter, but was so unimpressed with this movie. I would give it a B due to the slow drama within it! It did follow the books, of course not everything, but it was decent! I was not sitting back in "Aww!" with this movie! It was watchable, tolerable, exciting in parts, acting was great, just so slow and unimaginative. I guess, growing up is rather boring, even for Mr. Potter.

THIS VIDEO WAS LISTED AT A LOWER PRICE THAN ANY SALES I SAW AT MY LOCAL STORES AND WAS SHIPPED VERY QUICKLY AND SECURELY. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BUY FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN!

Who wouldn't love this DVD if they're fans of the books/movies? I could have done without the Tonks extras, though ;D.
