Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2003, DVD)

I love the Harry Potter book series, and the movies are wonderful! Of course, it couldn't be completely true to the book without being four hours long, but it got close! The acting was great, and many of the characters were exactly as I imagined them! From Hermione's slightly superior tone, to Ron's hiliarious facial expressions, to beautiful Hogwarts, the movies are some of the best book adaptations I've seen!

Lots of action. Harrys. second year every laearns he can understand snake language. He and Malfoy are constantley batteling each other.

great family film, load of magic, creative, and fun to watch. I really enjoyed it. Its a traditional British family film and I loved it. Its full of surprises and adventure. This one is a who done it type. Enjoy!

Ah, Harry Potter.... The "budget Lord of the Rings series", although shallow as literature, is certainly exciting. The real problem with Harry is the movie's incitement toward witchcraft. If you're one of the 1 in 100 who step into these practices because of Harry's tempting stories, don't expect to finish well like he does. Real witchcraft leads to real evil, and people who get mixed up in it really change. "Chamber of Secrets" is another doorway into a haunted, dark life. Better to stick with Frodo.

i already owned harry potter 3-5 so i wanted to get the 2nd and the 1st one. When i saw this i that i had to get it!

DVD locked up halfway on 3 different players. No return from e-mail. Guess you get what you paid for.............

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second DVD installment in the Harry Potter movie adaptations.

This DVD is a great adaptation of the books. You cannot have everything that is in the books transfer to a movie, but it is a very good adaptation. You follow Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they travel back to Hogwarts for their second year.

The introduction of the house elf Dobby creates a number of unique issues and problems that Harry, and sometimes Ron, must overcome. All in the name of trying to save Harry! A great character is born!

Overall the movie continues to live true to the vision that the books have embarked on without loosing major parts of the story!

A must own DVD for your library!

This is a great movie. Enjoyable for the entire family. I bought this because I've seen all the movies in the theater and fell in love. I had to have them, and getting them at Ebay prices just made it even better.

I had never seen a Harry Potter movie before and didn't think I would like them, but I am hooked! Great adventures and suspense.

It is as good as the rest of the Harry Potter movies that all my children (ages 10, 7, and 2) love. Like all of the other films, it emphasizes friendship and love as key factors. The character of Hermoine Granger is an intelligent 12 year old girl and that is not something you see in movies enough.

Because of the children in my life, the beginnings of the Harry Potter saga came to my attention through J.K. Rowling's books in 1999. As soon as the movies came to the theater, we were at the movies multiple times to see them then purchased them once they were available on DVD. This current purchase, (along with another HP DVD), is actually a replacement. The movie adaptation of this book is ok for most 9/10 year olds and up, as they do become darker with each successive installment. As many adults, I have come to love the movies and the books myself. I chose to purchase my newest copy on eBay as the price was very good and the condition of the disc and packaging was as well.

Harry Potter's second installment was most definately worth seeing. It follows very closely to the book for those who have read them. As in the books, much of the action comes in later so this movie is not near as action packed. Just like in the Lord of the Rings trilolgy there is much story telling that must take place in order to understand the characters and their journey. This movie is more story telling, but it is neccessary for future understanding. I highly recommend these movies but you must watch them in order to fully grasp Harry Potter and his journey through life.
