Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J. K. Rowling (1999)

I love this book. I am a fan of the entire series. I decided to purchase it because I am trying to complete my collection.

My daughter collects the Harry Potter books. When this book came in the mail I was more than pleased at the excellent condition. It looked like new!

A must read for anyone who likes reading. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in one of the world's best series.

The price. These are books that my kids are going to read and bend and leave out on the couch and and and... so I did not need new, I just needed a set they could read, enjoy and not feel that it had to be worthy of being placed in a museum after they were done with it.

I was happy with what I got. I've read the book before, so no surprises, but I'm glad to have it. The condition was just as promised and it was a great price for the book, too.

This is one of the best books I have read. It is entertaining as well as imaginative. A great story of good versus evil and how good wins out. Life it self is somewhat perplexed. To read how a child might overcome adversity, even in a make believe world is an inspiration to everyone. Well done.

I am a Harry Potter fan and I have always wanted the hardbacks, but have never been able to afford them. This book eas the right price and was in excellent condition when it arrived.

Do I need to review Harry Potter? My 8 year old has already finished one of the books are rearing to begin the second book!!

For anyone interested in Children's Literature or just an avid book reader this book is a tremendous adventure. To me this book was the beginning of Harry's adventures. It gives the background for why Harry's been spared from Voldemort's wrath which killed Harry's parents. It shows how Harry needs to grow and it gives insight into Harry's future in the remaining books. I wont give spoilers for anyone who has not read any of the book but it does follow the movie in my opinion more than the others in the series to date.

I like all of the Harry Potter Books. They are excellently written with wonderful and interesting sub plots and plenty of witty humor. I bought this particular book because I wanted to replace my paperback version with a hardcover version.

This book is in great shape and I have looked at many lower cost books that were almost all fake BUT this one looked like the real deal and I am very happy with the cost I was able to get it for. So as far as I am concerned everything went really good with this auction.

Everything went good with me getting this book but the post office sure took it's time getting it here so keep that in mind when buying things it's not always the sellers fault but the postal service. :-)

As with any Harry Potter book, the books is much funnier, entertaining, and a wilder adventure then the movies.

So if you haven't already please take the time and read each book after you have seen the movie. That way you can still enjoy all the surprises and twist and turns that the movie has with out being perturbed over what was left out from J.K.'s
telling of the story.

Examples: In the first book, there were 6+ things guarding the stone, not just 4.
In this book, I believe we find out more about Tom Riddle the we did in the movie. As well as other things that were left out of the movie.

Overall excellent story, everything about this book is great. I've read this one 2x's and watched the movie once. JK Rowling's ability to make you feel like your actually at Hogwart's School is amazing. This book is for everyone, young or old you'll truly enjoy it!

This is a great book, I never thought I would get into the Harry Potter series but I can now say that I'm hooked. The twists and turns in this book keep you guessing from beginning to end. You can see the progession of the characters as they continue their time at Hogwarts.

I love the thought and imagination J.K. Rowling put into this book. The details are so precise you can picture the entire story in your head. I first read this book with my son when he was ten. The Harry Potter collection captivates minds, young and old alike. My favorite part is the boost it gave my son in his love of reading. He has been hooked since the first book and has gone through the set of seven, devouring them page by page. When a teenager puts down the computer mouse or the video controller for a book, you know it has to be really good. We have been Harry Potter fans since the first book. We already owned a paperback copy of this book but we wanted a hard cover copy for our collection. My son is almost fifteen now and he knows how the Harry Potter story ends. I have a one year old daughter who I am sure will enjoy these books someday as much as her big brother did. The best part, I will get to see the whole story again, through the eyes of another child. I can hardly stand the wait!
