I bought this phone because I though it could be useful for me as cel phone and more, but it isn't. This phone can not be unlocked for use in popular celular services, it don't accept sim cards, also it's a bigger cell phone... so already this cell phone is inside a big box, thogether another unuseful phone at my atic. It is garbage
Great phone with a workhorse like stability. Great phone with a workhorse like stability. Great phone with a workhorse like stability. Great phone with a workhorse like stability. Great phone with a workhorse like stability. Great phone with a workhorse like stability.
I love everything about this phone except the battery life. The cover protects your screen, it has great reception, can handle most and Palm application out there making it a wonderful tool and is wonderfully simple to use. Combine that with being able to pick one up on Ebay for $50 any day of the week and you have the perfect solution for any organizational and/or communication need. As an example, I was driving one day (with my hands free in - get the Jabra, it is amazing!!) and my real estate agent called. I put him on speaker phone (I pulled over) so my wife and I could both talk to him. we were talking about this and that so I switched to my financial calculator (puts a TI BA to shame) and figured some numbers out, switched to my address book to give hime some account numbers and called someone else to conference call to get some decisions made. It was fabulous and really saved the day. Youi can't go wrong with this phone.
Strengths: I can carry my Palm and phone in one unit. The keyboard is big enough to use, long battery life for phone calls and schedules, lists, etc. My battery will last 2-3 days before needing recharging.
Weaknesses: Everyone is right that you can't see the screen in direct sunlight, but who uses their phone in direct sunight anyway? I can see fine in my car or in shade.
Summary: I really like this phone/pda. I had a cell phone and palm pilot and they were bulky in my purse. I was always searching for one or the other. I am very busy with heavy schedules of appointments and this one unit works great. I actually looked at the Treo 600, but it is REALLY small and the keyboard looks hard to use, it's too small. I don't sit and play games or get online with my unit. I have great service with Sprint and I really like my phone. I really hope that when it dies, Treo will come up with another unit that is larger than the 600. I don't want all the bells and whistles ie: mp3 or picture phone capabilities. I just want a PDA/Cell phone and that's what this is.
