Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Playstation 3)

Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down...

Graphics - 6/10
Come on...I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game... and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score).

Sound – 10/10
Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long.

Overall - 9/10
Judging this game against Guitar Hero 1 and 2, it is a better game and worthy of a sequel. However, judging it against the new Rock Band... it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar)

The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties.

Excellent game... looking forward to a sequel.

Love the game, dislike the wireless guitar. They should have made use of the PS3's bluetooth technology. Instead it comes with its own usb wireless receiver. Reception seems to be poor at times; however, the quality of the guitar feels good.

This game is simple and easy to learn. It is really addicting. A must buy for any music fan or anyone who likes social games. This game has a ton of metal and some softer stuff in the mix which makes it that much better. I you want hours and hours of fun get this.

Well I purchased this game for my wife. I'm more into the sports and action games but played this game with her and daughter. Found it to be very fun and addicting!! I found it easier to use the controller instead of the guitar. Would recommend Guitar Hero games to all my friends now and look forward to newer versions of this game. Fun for the entire family!!

I first tried Guitar Hero III at a friends house and at first was a little undecided. After about ten minutes of playtime, I fell in love with the game. I have only played a handful of games since playing Super Mario Bros on the NES system, and I can't make myself stop playing GH3, it's by far the funnest game I have ever played on a console.

Now I can have more people playing at once. The transaction was very smooth and the guitar was exactly as described. Can't ask for more than that. The price was outstanding.

Never played any of the guitar heros, this was a good first-time game. Keeps you active for quite a while the first day. comes with a little over 40 songs and has downloadable content.

Guitar Hero is a game for all the systems. I at first probably was thinking the same as all of you. No big deal, just pressing buttons is nice for little kids but much rather put time into playing the real thing.

After playing a few times and feeling terrible on how uncoordinated I am, I felt I needed to play a little more. I was hooked and started to love it. Gotta love the battles in addition to playing with your friends. Think this is better then the previous games in the series. Really looking forward to the Aerosmith one coming out this month.

Heard Guitar Hero 4 will have a create your own music and will contain other instruments like Rock Band has. Can not wait.

I purchased this guitar because it was "wired" for the PS3. We have had no luck with the wireless. We plugged it in, and it worked exactly for what we purchased it for. Guitar Hero III.

I would be great if it would have worked for Rock Band but it did not. The ten buttons are what would have made it great for Rock Band.

Guitar was easy to use, no flaws, and hit every note !

I love the variety of music in the game. It was brand new just like the seller said. It is a great game to bring family and friends together of all ages.

this is one of the most fun games we have ever played. it's a game that the whole family can enjoy. we cant wait to unlock all the different characters and songs that are available. i would recomend this game to any one it is really super fun.

Can't review it because i never got it. Vendor gave a lame excuse as to why but did refund my money.

seller send the wrong product to me,and then i had to find a fedex location ton send back the product,then gave the seller the tracking id for the product that i was sending back"seller proved the fedex acount number,he payd for delivery"now i still didnt got any traking number on the product i already payd,no nothing,on an all a really bad service,if not poor,will not buy again from this seller....

Guitar Hero III and the PlayStation 3. Could there be a better combination of game system and game out there? Not that I'm aware of.
The wireless controller has a very fast response time and only slightly more lag than a wired guitar. The huge advantage over a wireless controller is obviously the fact that you can sit much farther away from your PS3/TV and also don't have to worry about cords getting tangled up.
Not only is there a nice improvement in graphics in the PS3 GH III version compared to the PS2 version, I noticed an improvement in sound quality as well.
This is a game that can be very addicting. Play at your own risk! You might find yourself sitting down to play a song or two and before you know it you've been playing for hours!

I loved everything about the purchase. It was very timely. I got in in less than a week. The cost was great. Much cheaper than the stores. And the product, even though it was used, was in very good condition, like the ad said. I would definitely recommend this seller to another buyer. Thanks a lot.
