Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (game only) (Playstation 2)

Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down...

Graphics - 6/10
Come on...I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game... and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score).

Sound – 10/10
Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long.

Overall - 9/10
Judging this game against Guitar Hero 1 and 2, it is a better game and worthy of a sequel. However, judging it against the new Rock Band... it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar)

The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties.

Excellent game... looking forward to a sequel.

Pretty good game, harder than the 1st one, havent played the 2nd yet, overall a good game. Really like the first game, so figured Id try this one, let down a lil, was hoping for some more modern songs.

my favorite part about the game was that i got it so cheap. there is nothing that i dislike about the game. the songs on it are great!

This is a great game. Very addictive. I bought it for my son, but once I tried it I was hooked. The music is great, nice variety. This is fun for all age. With the differant skill levels it has something for everyone.

we never received it. we tried to talk to the seller but he failed to reply when we asked about the receipt of the money order. now we look bad when he never even looked into finding the money order there, as far as we know. this is very frustrating. i won't use a money order again. we are out the money now....it cost as much to stop payment on it so we'll never see it. makes me not want to buy from ebay again

My kids love the songs, and it's one's I recognize. They have fun playing this game. Personally, I'm surprized that the graphics of the people aren't more realistic. WHere as other games are more up to date. But as far as playing with the music and the songs that are on the game, it's great.

very enjoyable, the kids love it. It is great to see the young kids play the game with the old songs and then recognize the same song on the radio.

I like it i wanted it for awhile and thats all i can say it was in good condition and the shipping was low and it was fast.

I love all guitar hero games. The music is entertaining and it is great family fun. My son and I can play for hours and have good clean fun without arguement.

I love the guitar hero series, and this title was no exception. However, the only thing added was the battle mode, and each of these games seems like an expansion pack rather than a new game. Regardless, the game is fun to play.

Entertaining game. Excellent songs. This game has a really clear, understandable tutorial and has one of the best interactive experiences. I like it because it's fun, has no violence, and is inviting. I like the no violence aspect, since, as a parent, I've seen enough violent video games offered on the market. Wonderful gaming. Jam on!!!

There's enough said about the Guitar Hero family of games. From a different perspective, I'll add that this continues with all that was good from the previous and add it's own flavor. Of course the most important thing about it is the all the new songs to have available to play with. I'm sure they'll be many others to follow. Feel free to add this to the collection. Check pricing in EBGames.com first and then look for ebays offering for less. Don't pay full price, there's a new one coming out, that should drop the price on this soon. Best of all, it's a great game. Enjoy!
