Guitar Hero III is a worthy sequal for the XBOX 360

Graphics - 8/10
For what the game is, you are not buying this game to play for the graphics – though Activision was able to make the animations more vibrant, and a more noticeable experience.
Sound – 10/10
The track list for this game, along with the original recordings (including the reunited Sex Pistols!) is a must have. You will get lost in involvement when playing this game. This is one of the best soundtracks in a game to date.
Gameplay – 9/10
Though under new “ownership”, Activision has taken this game this game down a similar road, but with a new car. With slight improvements in the display hud, the notifications of streaks, and the “star power” activators easier to get, this game is fun. Plain and simple.
Replay Value - 10/10
When you see the achievement list, it will make you achievement “gatherers” play this game again and again to get the full 1000/1000. Plus with the addition of online multiplayer, content downloads, and competitive play – it will hard not to play this game over and over. This is a worthy sequel.

There are a few new tweaks to the actual gameplay, and it feels a bit easier to play (except some of the very final songs), but this game follows the old saying “if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it”. The song list, along with the new guitar, is stellar. With all the original, or master, tracks that are in this game, it is hard not to enjoy this game if you are a fan of rhythm or music games.
The new wireless “Gibson” guitar is heavier, more durable, and the closest thing to a real guitar peripheral that I have felt. I must say that this is a nice controller, and I did not want to put it down. I applaud Activision’s attention to detail. I highly recommend this bundle.

Guitar Hero 3 follows the same formula as iterations that came before it, but it makes a couple of minor changes that do it some good as well as some bad. First of all, hammer-ons come of feeling smoother and easier to pull of. On the flip, the songs are just ridiculously harder than ever before. This in turn retracts from the experience and just leaves you frustrated beyond belief at times. Another great addition is Xbox Live online play. While for the most part it is done well, but lag is present sometimes which can make for some bad online matches. Other than that, expect some great songs and solid game-play from Guitar Hero 3.

xbox 360 guitar hero lll : legends of rockI love everything about it. I cant not say a negative about it. Coming for the age of metal and the first taste with guitar hero 2. The only bad thing I could say is i wish i would have know about it earlier. Oh and any of you out the on the fence about rock band i the immortal word of ac/dc " all you punks up the sitting on the fence get of your ass down...." you will be blown away. Look my wife of 15 years thought i was crazy to want to shell out the money for in her mind a childs toy. It is the same thing every night, she comes home from work the first thing out of her mouth" hey alex you ready to play some rock band tonight." So who the kid now!?!

Oh buy the way you can find it right here on ebay mine was for xbox 360 platform. I pick mine up for 102.00 almost 70.00 buck cheaper and yes it was brand new factory seals and all.

GREAT GAMEI love the tracks and the boss fights are a good change of pace. The new difficulty helps if you're a vet but may hurt the nubs. overall a great addition to the GH series.

Best Guitar Hero Yet<b>this is the best Guitar Hero game yet</b>
Lots more original versions of songs than GH:II. However, the songs are much harder to play. Basically, Hard in Guitar Hero II is Medium in Guitar Hero III. So Hard and Expert are really difficult.

We do not know if we like it or not. I purchased Rock Band for xbox 360 it comes with a guitar, drums and a mic. Well had I known you cannot play guitar hero III with this guitar I would not have purchased it. All it said is its for xbox 360 and we have that and a guitar but not the right guitar.

I bought this game about a month ago. And i had heard about it and seen it played, but never actually owned it and played it on my own time. This is a really good game. What really got my attention was the great graphics! they were really good! This is a good game for anyone who wants to just sit down for a few hours and be challenged.

I recently got both Guitar Hero III and Rock Band... Short story... Rock Band wins, hands down.
Long story... Guitar Hero III does have some stuff I like about it more, as well as different songs than Rock Band. For as cheap as it can be found by bargain shopping, it's worth it. If you were to buy it new in store (IE BestBuy, Target, etc) it would not be worth it, but for $20, hell ya!
Graphics look very cartoony (esp compared to Rockband)
Gameplay is identical besides interface (and other equip in RockBand)
NO Character customization (outside of premade outfits for premade characters)
Don't get me wrong, I loved GHIII until I got spoiled by RB
Im summation... worth "bargain shopping" price, not worth retail price (If you are on a tight budget, this may be the way to go as I just dropped $158 on RB *SE Set* and $55 on GH *Wireless Guitar and Game*)
*On a side note, I like the GHIII Wireless Les Paul controller FAR MORE than RB's Fender (father-in-law likes Fender more due to bigger fingers)

Good price! Fast deliver! Busted merchandise!This game was delivered extremely ahead of schedule...i popped in the game and saw the horrific sight of a faulty disc in my xbox 360...after first i thought it was my xbox so i purchased a new game from a local store and low and behold it worked...i had to return the game in the end...good game overall just not the one i purchased from ebay

High replay ability, even better with 2 playersI have no real complaints about this game. It's fun from start to finish and the guitar battles Vs. Slash & Tom Morello are a nice touch. What's even more fun is if you have a buddy to play with at the same time so you can battle each other. This a great party game as well as just an all around fun game to just kick back and unwind with. It doesn't take alot of skill at video games so you can get the hang of it within just a few minutes even if you have never picked up a game controller. The harder levels offer a significantly bigger challenge. I'd give the game a solid 8.5 0out of 10.

Good, but not better than GH2Guitar Hero III is a lot like GH2 in terms of functionality and appearance. The songs in Guitar Hero II were better and more fun to play. Basically you end up with a few more really good songs that make the purchase worth it.

What can I say? Way better than GH2. The game play is excellent and fun. The new tracks will have you playing this game over and over and the online is just icing on the cake. Plus, you get new characters to play with and even some famous ones too.
