Graphics - 8/10
For what the game is, you are not buying this game to play for the graphics – though Activision was able to make the animations more vibrant, and a more noticeable experience.
Sound – 10/10
The track list for this game, along with the original recordings (including the reunited Sex Pistols!) is a must have. You will get lost in involvement when playing this game. This is one of the best soundtracks in a game to date.
Gameplay – 9/10
Though under new “ownership”, Activision has taken this game this game down a similar road, but with a new car. With slight improvements in the display hud, the notifications of streaks, and the “star power” activators easier to get, this game is fun. Plain and simple.
Replay Value - 10/10
It will hard not to play this game over and over. This is a worthy sequel.
Overall - 9/10
There are a few new tweaks to the actual gameplay, and it feels a bit easier to play (except some of the very final songs), but this game follows the old saying “if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it”. The song list, along with the new guitar, is stellar. With all the original, or master, tracks that are in this game, it is hard not to enjoy this game if you are a fan of rhythm or music games.
The new wireless “Gibson” guitar is heavier, more durable, and the closest thing to a real guitar peripheral that I have felt. I must say that this is a nice controller, and I did not want to put it down. I applaud Activision’s attention to detail. I highly recommend this bundle.

Overall this game receives about a 6/10. Let's break it down...
Graphics - 6/10
Come on...I can see bumpers smashing in racing games, more blood than I care to see in shooter games, and even chocolate bubbling in the pond in a children's game... and I can't get better graphics than this for my favorite XBox 360 game? Better luck on Guitar Hero 4. The one improvement I have enjoyed is the better display hud (your score).

Some of the songs aren't the greatest sound quality (like Boston) but the sound is as good as Guitar Hero predecessors. Overall the track list was top notch. I'd love to see some more popular songs for some of my less savvy classic rock friends, but overall the music is great and will keep you rocking all night long.

However, judging it against the new Rock Band... it loses some appeal because Rock Band offers more options for more people (mic and drums). If you're looking for a game that will give you awesome songs, lots of fun for all skill levels, and a 4-player mode, you should go with Rock Band. (note: the Rock Band guitar sucks so you'll want to use a Guitar Hero guitar)
The new wireless Gibson guitar that comes in the Guitar Hero 3 package is a must have. It's a little easier to hold than previous guitars, I think the buttons are slightly easier to use, and although I thought being wireless might affect some play I can't notice any lag or difficulties.
Excellent game... looking forward to a sequel.

Good but not great.I decided to buy it because I am a huge guitar hero fan and it was exciting to see the item at such a low price. Although I found the item at a great price and at low shipping the item had been previously used and it didnt come in the condition it was advertised in. It was not in bad condition, its perfectly usable and has no problems but it had all the stickers on it and it has a few scratches. Nonetheless it was a good item, just not great.

I like the game and the music but the wireless receiver that came with the wireless guitar does not work, so I have to play the game on the ps2 controller. So, I can't really write a review about the product.

Reward gift for my son.My son is a really good student, so I decided to reward him with a PS 2 game. His number 1 wish was the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. There was only one place to purchase for me, Ebay! My wife was worried about the shipping time and how fast it would get here as we were late in deciding what to get. I knew with the feedback score system that I could pick a reliable Seller. The package arrived with time to spare and I am even enjoying this game. Rock on, Ebay!

This game is worth every penny you pay! At first, I was a little skeptic about it. I mean out in stores it's about 80 to 90 dollars! Who will pay for a game that much? Until I played one of my friend's Guitar Hero, I was addicted after the first round. So I far I think it is the best game I ever bought. All I can say is play it first on your friend's or family system but be careful, it is very addicting!

I love Guitar Hero III. I bought it used online with a wireless guitar controller. Everything came in great and good working order. I really like the game and the songs that are on the game. It seems challenging enough to make it interesting, but impossible to do even for people who don't normally play video games. I definitely like the wireless controller and it makes it much easier to play the game without being attached to the playstation. I feel like I can move around more and it works great! I really do love the game and can't seem to put it down.

The music is great. My kids love video games, but this is something we as a family participate in and make it a family game. We all love it and the different stages help since I am 30 and have to play easy mode. My 6 and 10 year old sons play hard. So the different stages help me. We love it.

Hours of fun!Great game difficult at times but others you have those songs that you just can't help but rock out too. Wish it was a little longer. As a first time player to Guitar Hero I beat it on easy with no problem in a matter of hours. Having a little more of a problem with medium but still having fun. Great to do battle mode against either cpu or friends.

PS2 Guitar Hero 3- Legends of RockI recently purchased Legends of Rock for my wife and I and our friends. So, only the wife and I have had a chance to play the game but we have had a blast with it we stayed up well past bedtime. I would suggest this game to anyone over the age of 12 or 13. It is quite a challenging game, and there is really something for everyone, even if you only know the hits. We are completely satisfied with our purchase and look forward to the next Guitar Hero release.
