The game is alot of fun and easy to play. Songs are good. Downloadable content is good too for xbox.

Overall a very good game with plenty of songs to keep you playing for hours on end! This is a great game to "teach your fingers to not be stupid".

Awesome game. Lots of good songs a very good time. My wife and I both play. We love it. Not as forgiving as GH III you have to hit the notes dead on or you miss it.

Overall a really good game but the song list is not as good as GH3. A lot of the songs towards the end of the game are very obscure.

I purchased Guitar Hero III and decided I wanted to get Guitar Hero II also since I had played it a little at other people's house. I also wanted it for the ability to play the songs. To me they were both basically the same game. After getting to spend some time wiht Guitar Hero II I discovered that it is actually a good bit easier than Guitar Hero III. This is a good thing since when I went to the medium level on GH III I had a hard time keeping up with adding the 4th button. On GH II I can play it on medium and I can keep up a lot better. I an now working through GH II on the medium level to build my skills for the medium level on GH III. I will use the same process when I move to the hard level.

Great game, more songs then the Playstation 2 version. Better graphics and better sound if you have surround sound with 5.1. Works with Guitar Hero 3 wireless guitar. This is a great game for Xbox 360, so is Guitar Hero 3.

Compared to GH3, GH2 has more realistic achievements (one such GH3 achievement is to 100% 20 songs on expert. Seriously?!?!) and a better set up for playing songs. While you can't purchase everything just playing on Easy and Medium, it's easier to buy what you want on GH2.
The only things GH3 has over GH2 are online multi-player and boss battles, even though the boss battles are fairly weak and there are only 3 in the game (that is 3 for each difficulty). GH2 does, however, have multi-player just not online.
The GH2 song list (set list and unlockable) is better in most respects to GH3 with the exception of a few (Dragonforce anyone?) Still, I prefer Freebird over Through the Fire and the Flames any day.
As for the guitar, I prefer the GH3 Les Paul wireless. More movement freedom and feels more comfortable. Although there are some issues with fret buttons on the GH3 guitar, wireless wins out and you can always return it for a new one.
