So many great songs on one CD! I had this cd, and had to replace it. She has such a great voice, meaningful lyrics, and is soothing to the soul. 'Love's the Only House' and 'Broken Wing' are fabulous!Actually, they ALL are!
I love Martina's work. I chose one of her songs to do for my sign language class. I couldn't find the CD in the store so I went to ebay. I love my purchase, it is just like the seller said it was. I am very happy with my CD.
Martina McBride's voice and style and power are in every song on this cd. This is a great collection of 19 of her most powerful songs. It has only one song I hadn't heard before: "Strangers".
The only thing I dislike about this album is that it doesn't include "In My Daughter's Eyes" or "God's Will". But I guess you have to save some for a Greatest Hits 2 cd!
I usually research pricing and reviews on any product I buy on Ebay. But every once in a while one of my children will put in a request for an item like a video game or cd so I usually just do a buy it now on the cheapest one with the most reasonable shipping that I can find doing a quick search. This was a CD from an artist my 8 year old daughter likes very much and she was very happy with the purchase.
This is an absolutely fantastic CD of Martina McBride's. This is actually my second copy of this CD since my teenage daughter took the other and conveniently forgot to return it. This CD was in perfect condition and I'm sure will be well worn very quickly.
I really love Martina's songs, and this has almost all my favorites. It's a great driving cd and sitting around the house. It is not a sit on your backside and listen one, you have to sing along or roll the windows down and crank them up.

Greatest Hits Martina McBride, And Then Some

Pros: A pleasant blend of different tempo songs
Cons: A song or two
Once again the old CD turnstile has been dusted off, my pick made and the birth of a new review. Martina McBride's Greatest Hits. Several of these songs had not been released before and I'm not sure how they made the Greatest Hits album, but they happen to be some of my favorites so I am glad they did. The CD insert has conversations between Martina and her producer Paul Worley. Just some little tid bits on how the song came about, or what they had to do to prepare to record it. Some nice background on the songs, if you don't need a magnifying glass to read it. I do and still had trouble, so..

Pros: great songs ~ beautiful voice ~
Cons: NONE
I recently bought this CD and it has fast become my very favorite one. I can wear headphones at work and I listen to this over and over. It never gets old. Martina McBride has been singing country music for over ten years now. This is her first #1 record. In the first week over 100,000 units were sold. This album is her greatest hits from the previous six albums that she has released along with 4 songs that have not been released before. The songs on this CD bring out so many different emotions in me. Some will make you happy and smile while others you will be crying. There are 18 songs on...

Great just the way she is

Pros: Martina's voice, some great songs, great deal of effort and care went into making it.
Cons: Some not-so-great songs we've heard too much already.
I'm not much for polish - I don't really mean production, but mostly vocals. I'm not a Whitney, Mariah, or Celine fan. I prefer a rawer vocal sound - uniqueness, if you will. A perfect-pitch vocal performance combined with perfect production with perfect session players and perfect songwriters usually spells "pass it" for me, but I'm willing to make an exception. When I am in the mood for polish, I at least want some style. I love Martina McBride's voice. More for her willingness to actually stretch it than for the actual performances she gives, sometimes. She's got better vocal chops than...

The Little Lady With the Big Voice Presents Her Biggest Hits

Pros: Great vocals; Wonderful songs; Good production
Cons: One or two bland songs
Ah, Martina McBride. The crowned princess of country music. I hold back from saying "queen" because of Patsy Cline's hold over the genre, but McBride wiggles her way into the monarchy with her loud, passionate voice, which sounds odd coming out of such a tiny little body. She never fails to impress with her vocal abilities, and her Greatest Hits collection is no exception. The first song is "My Baby Loves Me." An adorable song with a sweet theme that many of us romantics wish were true more often: pure, unconditional love. McBride sings that her partner (obviously her husband, John) "thinks I.

Pros: Ballads, that voice, the liner notes, Martina :)
Cons: Not enough songs from earlier albums
Let me just get this out of the way: I absolutely love Martina McBride. I ve loved her since the Radio Music Awards a couple months ago. I ve always thought of her as the retarded cheerful girl who sang that annoyingly peppy song I Love You for Julia Robert s disappointing movie Runaway Bride . The Radio Music Awards changed my perspective on her completely though. My boyfriend and I were watching the RMA s and he told me that this singer had a great voice. I didn t believe him until she started the chorus in her amazing ballad Where Would You Be . She blew me away SO much that I bought her...
