I am already a HUGE Alan Jackson fan but don't have alot of money to spend on CD's. EBAY is a great way to get the music you love at a price YOU can afford. The CD was in excellent condition.. and is packed full of songs I love.. plus some extras I am enjoying.

Pros: Great songs, Jimmy Buffet, The voice...it's about the voice!
Cons: ~Nope didn't find one
There has been a new Alan Jackson song playing lately that makes me laugh and takes me back some years. It s Five O Clock Somewhere is a great drinking song that is performed with none other than Jimmy Buffet. When I was in Wal*Mart today and scanning the new releases I spotted a new CD that features this song. Alan Jackson s Greatest Hits Volume II and Some Other Stuff was just released, August 12, 2003 on the Arista BMG Music label. What a great CD this is. I was so pleased as I put it in my CD player and began to listen. Some familiar songs, some new ones and a bonus CD with 8 great songs..

Pros: All hits from 1996-present. Bonus CD featuring great old album tracks.
Cons: Missing a few other hits.
Alan Jackson has slowly grown on me. I didn't pick up his CDs until they came in my CD club fliers. I do own all his CDs since 1994 but I just never had one "Grab" me until 2001 when his Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning) said everything that a 9/11 tribute song could possibly say. That CD, Drive was released in early 02 and became Alan's biggest selling CD primarily because he had people snatching up that CD for just that song alone. There were a couple more hits from the CD and it seems the time was right for Alan Jackson to release his second greatest hits CD. Yes, that's...

Alan Jackson --This Album is Right On The Money!

Pros: An album that displays Alan Jackson at his best.
Cons: None
I am now an Alan Jackson fan. First of all I have to say that I m not one to go crazy over an artist. A song perhaps. Yet I hate buying the whole CD for just one or two songs, but that s what I ended up doing this time. A friend of mine loves one of Cher s songs and curses the day he bought the CD for that one song. How many times has he told me that he bought her album because he enjoyed that one song Believe and then he ll go on to say that he doesn t like any of the other songs on the album (which I find difficult to believe considering that I love all of Cher s songs.) The first time I..

Pros: you won't need the skip button - a solid album with real hits
Cons: I didn't get the "other stuff" with my copy :(
I have been waiting for a long time for this album to come out. Not that I don't already have most of the songs on this album, since I have all his previous albums. But here is another reason not to be downloading and burning CD's for personal use - this is a great example where the CD is worth every penny you spend. This CD is packed with Jackson's hits since his first Greatest Hits album - released in 1995, I think. Jackson is well overdue for a volume two and this CD with eighteen tracks will not disappoint his many fans, and will likely make a lot of new fans. Regrettably, my copy did not.

Stick with the uptempo stuff...

Pros: Got all of his big hits...
Cons: Not all of his big hits are so great...
I've always had mixed feelings about this guy. His down home style and occassionally maudlin ballds, like WHERE WERE YOU (WHEN THE WORLD STOPPED TURNING), turn me off. But his up tempo rebellious songs, like IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE (WITH JIMMY BUFFET) or ITTY BITTY, and reminiscing songs like DRIVE are absolutely the best of new country. The FIVE O'CLOCK song topped the charts, and is just so much fun that I catch myself singing it whenever my boss gets on my case. (Anybody know what a Hurricane is?) Basically, I like songs that other people write for him, way better than his own stuff,...
