Tom Petty is a Great Hit.
This is one of my top 10 favorite cds of all time. I am a MAJOR Tom Petty fan and have grown up listening and loving his music. The great thing about Tom Petty and this cd is it does not matter what your level of music appreciation is everyone can recognize at least two songs(but most of them are easily recognizable) off this cd and want to sing along.

My daughter and husband, 45ish, sent an online ad on Tom Petty. They were attending his concert that night. There was a chance to sample several of Tom's hits. No need for a sales pitch. Less than a minute from each of his numbers and I was sold on an artist that I was not familiar with at all.
I turned to ebay and fortunately found a cd with Petty, his greatest, and at a price I liked.
His fans and concerts are loud, but at home the music comes thru with a great beat and a good musical score.
I will use ebay "music" each time I make a new acquaintance as worthy as Petty. Thanks!!

Tom Petty has been around for a very long time, actually since I can remember really getting into rock music, he's always been one of the performers I've admired most. If you ever get a chance to go to one of his shows, you will be amazed by how many big hits he has had over the years. This new CD will provide many more of those hits that someday we will be looking back on. You won't be disappointed in this new effort. "Running Down A Dream" sounds even better today than it did years ago. It makes this CD!!

It's Tom Petty, What is there not to like? Good CD. It has all of his classics and you can play the CD from the begining to the end. Great for going on a road trip or just relaxing in the house. I would give this CD a 8 out of 10.

Picked up a cassette tape of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Greatest Hits for a few cents at the flea market. Liked it so much I decided to get it in digital format. A lot of great old school rock, all memorable in one place. The drums are great, uncomplicated and rhythmic the guitar twangy, and brings back the good old days when you could follow the song’s storyline. And what a surprise to see them on the super bowl half time show.

This CD had Tom Petty's best songs. It is a good CD. I got it because I saw Tom Petty on the PBS channel one day, and thought I would try to find it on eBay. Within a week I was listening to Tom Petty in my car.

Tom Petty Greatist HitsIt is nice being to find some of my favorite music from the past at low cost. Trying to collect vast amounts of 70s and 80s music at conventional stores would be not only inconveniet, but cost prohibitive.

I was never much of a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fan until I got this CD. Sure, you hear Petty tunes of the radio all the time, but the band's catalog of work is a bit daunting. To the uninitiated, this "Greatest Hits" album is a gold nugget find. One can literally listen to the entire album and enjoy every song — you'll even probably find yourself singing along more than once. Plus, "Greatest Hits" includes the now-classic "Mary Jane's Last Dance," a track never before available and written specifically for this release.
Like Credence Clearwater Revival's "Chronicle I," Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' "Greatest Hits" is a must addition to any music library.
