Greatest Hits [Digipak] * - Crosby, Stills & Nash (CD 2005)

IT was the CD I had been looking for and it is great.I bought the CD three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the music and how clear it was. I have only one Cd for Crosby, Still & Nash and the quality is great. IT was remastered to perfection and could not be much better. Overall I think anyone who likes Crosby, Still & Nash should own this CD.

Somehow I didn't take in a lot of the 60s-70s rock. Jazz became my bag, and drifting thru the 80s and 90s I followed the fusion trail, circling back to the roots (Cray, Davis, Dolphy, Desmond, Monk, Coltrane). But a buddy with a guitar, chimnea socials, and friends who knew lyrics brought back a lot of the "good stuff" from rock's high points. I say high points because it sure seems like this music still dominates what we hear in advertisements and remakes by today's bands. The Beatles, Stones, Dylan, even Kiss are sounds for the ages - and you certainly have to include Crosby, Stills Nash & Young in that conversation. This CD captures the best of their sound, with piercing lyrics, great sound variation (from folk to salsa, R&B to classical), and a deft mix. Glad to add it to my (rather sparse, but growing) collection of classic rock.

This is a good and well-rounded basic collection of songs if you want to choose one representative CD of Crosby Stills and Nash.

With this CD it is a great Record of all thier great songs as CSN a collectable to have in my album collection.
I have liked them from the beginning so this is a very good selection of tunes to have and enjoy.

This CD was in excellent condition, as described. I bought the CD to replace older media types. The price was reasonable. The transaction was quick and smooth.

I was waiting for this CD collection to be issued for a long time!! (Essential artist of the 60's / 70's). I thought Graham Nash did a good job of selecting the essential songs (hits and otherwise). Sometimes when I buy a greatest hits, gold , essential collection of the 25-30 years ago artists, I'm burnt out after a couple listens. But this one still has a "fresh" like quality upon each playing (i.e. : it doesn't get boring)

It's worth owning just to enjoy a play two or three times a year.
