In the world of remakes, there is no easier way to do it than to take a B-Action movie, throw a lot of money at it, and hope that it makes box office gold. Back in 1974, the original film came out to limited audiences, and it was forced to live in B-Movie lore, remembered mostly for its 40 minute car chase.
