This is the definitive console shooter. It took the great elements from classic PC Shooters such as Doom and Duke Nukem and glossed them up for the greatest franchise in the film genre.
All elements of the movie are there, plus several more levels that make the game constantly changing and fun. And the multiplayer has been the template for all shooters since and YET it still remains unsurpassed.
There has never been a Bond game as cool is this one until recently, when From Russia With Love debuted some months ago. However, there is only one Goldeneye, and everyone who knows its greatness should own it.
Everything in this game is perfect, from the beginning to the end. this game is the one game that will stay in every gamers heart. to bad EA games had to **** that all up. but still, this is the best Fps ever. and the best game based on a movie. the multiplayer was great and the story was AWESOME. it had it's times where you wanted to murder your nintendo 64, but after you beat the jungle or the temple you feel sooo good. if anyone had the balls to give this game a 8.9 or below, they better watch out. bottem line, One Of The Best Games Ever,
This game is still as awesome as it was years ago. I bought it because I wanted some old school great games and this is one of the best. Everyone should own a copy of this.
This game was the greatest multiplayer FPS of it's day. It's still nostalgic fun despite the advent of games like Halo and Call of Duty. It's a game worth having in any collection.
I had to clean the game out real well, but other than that the game works fine. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
please ship it fast ireally really nedd this for my doughter ,, i hope recieved fasttt ,,as soon as possible ,,, happy biidder in ebay,, please i do not know what to write,,
This is a must have for any N64 players or collectors. Goldeneye is proof that first-person shooters could work and work well on consules, and not just the PC. The game is based off of the James Bond movie of the same name, but some additional content was added to the game to increase the length. Your standard guns and explosives that are common in first-person shooters are there as well as gadgets that were made famous in James Bond movies. The controls handle very well with the N64 controller and moving around, shooting, and aiming are reltively easy. The graphics may be outdated by todays standards, but they were top notch for their day, and pushed the limits of the N64 system. One of the best parts of the game is the multi-player. Up to four people can play and choose from several characters made famous in James Bond movies, not just Goldeneye. There are so many options and weapons to choose from, you could spend hours playing with your friends and not go through them all. Only the multi-player in Perfect Dark, Goldeneyes sucessor, has more content. All in all, if you enjoy these types of games, still play with an N64 or even if you are a collector, Goodeneye is a great and classic game to have around.
This seller (pnpgames) conducts itself in a dependable and professional manner. We had a little bit of trouble with the alternative payment method (Kyzou), yet with great communication the seller completed the order. The order I recieved was an electronic in great working condition. I have not encountered any flaws whatsoever with the vintage game. I would highly recommend this seller.
This is the greatest first person shooter game of is time. The levels are great & the paint ball mode is my favorite. Its fun to play game mode or multi player. lots of options, ie guns, lasers, 1 shot 1 kill, etc. This is my husbands favorit 64 game
I would buy five hundred thousand copies of this game and build a house out of them.
BEST first person shooter ever created. This goes to prove better graphics doesn't mean better game. Clever levels, sick weapons, a solid storyline with twists-turns-&-betrayal, and a good ole' 1990's feel on top of everything else. If you beat the levels fast enough, you are rewarded with a cheat code, my favorite being invisibility, but there is one for every level.
While other James Bond games may suck... really, really bad, this is gold.
was good transaction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Goldeneye 007. I used to own it, but I gave it away. It's challenging playing the one player mode, but it's more fun playing with multiple players; you get to hunt each other or teams! If you're sick of playing other systems, go back to the classic games like Goldeneye 007; it's a must have game!
this game is a classic! it's awesome and it never gets old... it's amazing you can play up to 4 players and when friends come over we always have a blast with this game... it's got a regular story mode to it too which is fun (it is a first person shooter and it sort of resembles rainbow 6)
Great Shooter Game! I had three Nintendo 64 controllers, a bunch of games but coldn't find the console. So I bought one on ebay and then bought golden eye to heighten my great n64 experience
Goldeneye, which I will refer to simply as 007, for the N46 is an instant classic. Now with its dated graphics, limited gameplay, and sub-par AI, it doesn’t hold a candle to its successors, but it will always be in my mind as the game that introduced me to the real 1st person shooter genre.
Graphics: If you like squares and polygons, this is the game for you. With curves and angles that could rival a VW bus, it is certainly no breakthrough in graphical design, but in its prime it held its own against the games of the time. It did have some glitches and issues concerning contact points but for the most point you could tell what was going on. You could even tell where on the person you shot them depending on how close you were due to the red coloration on that body part.
Sounds: The sounds went well with the different weapons and characters you interacted with. The accents also went well with the characters and the locations (especially the local foot soldiers which you will be mowing down in large numbers with the finesse that only James Bond could).
Gameplay: Now this is where the game truly shines. It might be the simple point and shoot, but it rarely leaves its bread and butter. It does the point and shoot very well and rarely leaves it. A shot actually damages the person more when you shoot them in the head or the body compared to the leg or arm. The missions are usually linear and straightforward but they are engaging and sometimes require some backtracking to accomplish the goals set out. For the most part, the game follows the movie after which it is named with a few exceptions. At some points you get to drive a tank! It might be clumsy but you can run over people and cars just like you would want to in a tank in a game. This game might have limited missions to chose from (16 total I think), but the missions differ in location, objectives, and weapons which make every level a brand new experience.
Overall I give this game a 8.5 due to its dated graphics but it will never be left behind due to its groundbreaking gameplay of the time and the barriers that it crossed.
Shipping was fast, and the game was in great condition. We enjoy it because it is a game of intrigue and espionage without grotesque violence. It's also fun to look back at the beginnings of 3D graphics. I would be very willing to purchase more items from this seller in the future.
I played this game as a young teenager when it came out years ago and absolutely loved it. At the time, the multiplayer mode was amazing, the single player game was second to none; all around, the game was spectacular.
It's fun and terribly addictive. I loved getting groups of friends together for a classic shoot-em-up tourney. While those days are long gone, I still love breaking the game out from time to time with a couple of friends or simply on my own if I feel the need to shoot something. It's a great de-stresser. I know when I have a rough day at work, I love to shoot things. There's something wonderfully satisfying about this game... perhaps that it was simply so well done that, as far as I'm concerned, it's stood the test of time.
Are there better games out today with slicker graphics and better gameplay? Yes, of course... this game is old (not ancient by any means, though). That said, this game was one of the pioneers of its kind and I'm happy to bust it out for a nostalgic evening to play a game of my youth. Plus my friends think it's friggin sweet to play it after years of not seeing it. It's a hallmark of its day.
