Girls to the Rescue Book 2 by Bruce Lansky (1996)

The stories are short, and can be read to children in one easy sitting. I like the stories' content because it can generate good discussion with girls about the possibilities for them, and that gender is not a limiting factor in what can be accomplished. I also liked that the stories could be enjoyed by a pre-teen as well as a K-3 child...different levels of response, but you could read to both and have both of them like the stories. I read these stories to my granddaughters.
