Ever since I first saw this movie up in Humboldt I fell in love with this movie. This is currently my favorite anime movie. The main difference between anime and normal animation is the level of detail. Most Anime strive to recreate the world we live in, the physics that occur, and the people as real as possible. This interesting animated feature was a groundbreaking event in animation techniques, combining processes that have more and more become known as state of the art. The film makers had high hopes for international success and mainstream acceptance, when they released the film to theaters internationally on the same day 8 years ago. They reasoned that the popular comic on which the movie is based, would assure an audience.
