Cd was in great condition & was shipped very quickly. It made it just in time for my wedding. I would definitely buy from this seller again in the future.

Pros: Classic Garth, the FIRST one!
Cons: Ended.
I'm not trying to be morbid, but REALLY, please play this at my funeral! Not the whole CD. Just one song. "The Dance." I absolutely love this song and feel that it expresses my whole attitude towards life perfectly. My life hasn't been perfect by a long shot. I've been hurt. Deeply. I've lost friends and loved ones and grieved much. However, as immense as the pain is, I would never give up the lessons I've learned, and the opportunity I had to have known and loved those individuals for the time I did. I think sometimes that it is a good thing that we cannot see the future. I'm afraid that if..

Pros: Great Heart-felt lyrics
Cons: Not great for a Dance Party
Garth Brooks seemed to wonder into the country music world, as if he had always been there. He brought us songs from the heart. Songs we could all relate to. His music takes you back in time, and allows you to remember things, you had thought you had forgotten. Songs like "The Dance" and "If Tomorrow Never Comes" are wonderful, life experience songs, filled with memorable lyrics. This album was recorded by some one who seems to be really in touch with themselves, and the rest of the world. You can have fun with this album you can cry with this album, and perhaps you can even learn a little...

Pros: Great country music that anyone will love.
Cons: None.
I have to tell you this album is the whole reason why I started listening to country music again ten years ago. The song titled "The Dance" on this CD is still to this day my favorite song Garth has ever produced.....In fact it was the first song I ever sang in public when I got into singing myself while stationed at FT. Hood, TX. To me, Garth is the ultimate star of todays country music, and I believe that Garth played a big role in a lot of the sounds we hear in todays country music. I bought this album strictly for the "The Dance", but there are other great songs on it as well. I know...

The Great G. B.
Review created: 01/31/00

Pros: Great videos, great songs
Cons: It is only 30 minutes long
This 30 minute video contains three music videos, interviews, performance footage, and an interview with Garth Brooks telling how each video was made and the story behind the video. As is happens, the three songs on this video, The Dance, If Tomorrow Never Comes, and The Thunder Rolls, are among my favorite G. B. songs. Seeing the videos with background information is what any true G. B. fan will love. The best section is The Thunder Rolls. Most G. B. fans know the "secret" of the video. However, hearing G. B. tell the story about how the video came about and then watching the video is...

A Case of Mistaken Identity?

Pros: Great album start to finish, Most country Garth's ever done
Cons: "The Dance" catapulted his pop career
This album was Garth Brooks' debut, when he was still just a kid from Oklahoma. It's quite obvious that when this album was produced Mr. Brook's views of the world and music were quite narrow before he realized the allure of money and fame. I absolutely love this album, I think it is the greatest compilation of songs Garth Brook has ever done. Each song is very true to country music roots and the rodeo ballad "Much too Young to Feel this Damn Old" pays homage to two of the greats of country music, Chris LeDoux and George Strait. The sound of the steel guitar in this album mixed with the no...
