I bought this product for my husband who always gets lost. He loves it. We recently had to go on a trip to Miami, FL from Illinois and it worked great. The only thing is that Garmin gets very upset when you don't go the way she wants you to and has to "RECALCULATE".

DID SOME RESEARCH ON GETTING A REASONABLY PRICED GPS. WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THIS ITEM AND THE FEATURES OF GIVING STREET NAMES. BOUGHT THIS MODEL ALSO BECAUSE OF THE EXTERNAL OUTPUT SO THAT I CAN USE IT THROUGH THE INTERCOM ON MY HONDA GOLDWING. EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT WATERPROOF I WILL REMOVE IT IF IT RAINS AND SAVE $400.

I absolutely love my Garmin. I bought it because I am driving over the road this summer. It is so accurate. I decided to buy it because a friend recommended that I get the 350 because it will talk to you with street names that you are suppose to turn on.

Great buy at $200 (MSRP - $399). The instructions are generally clear. The touch screen is the best I have ever seen. The screen is bright and clear except in bright sunlight (like all color screens) so that the windshield mount must be positioned so that the screen is shielded from the sun. The suction cup mount works flawlessly every time. The lithium battery holds it's charge for a long time (a lot better than my cell phone). All of the features are not completely intuitive and require referring to the manual. A printed instruction manual would be appreciated (The manual is in the unit's memory and must be downloaded to a computer which makes it unavailable when you are away from your computer - a minor inconvenience.)

We can go wherever we like as long as we can type the address into the GPS. It tells us where to turn and when, how long it will take us to get to our destination, restaurants, etc. It is wonderful!!!!

Extremely easy to install and use; easy to disassemble and remove from vehichle; instructions are easy to follow. The audio component enhances guidance; very detailed including rural areas.

Love how sleek and small it is as opposed to our other unit. With use of the air vent clip that I purchased separately, it looks like it was professionally installed and stays firmly in place. Easy to use touch screen buttons. All around great, very pleased and would highly recommend!

The Garmin Nuvi 350 Car GPS is awesome. I have enjoyed it so much that I have recommended it to several friends. I didn't know what I was missing without it. It is a great navigational tool.

This GPS can easily get you where you want to go, and the instructions is very clear, never make you confused on what action you should make when facing a fork.Another good thing is it has a lots of POI, much more than other GPS, so that you can get many kinds information around wherever you go.

But I dislike its slowness of its startup when loading the maps, also sometimes it will take minutes to acquire the satellite.
Overall it is a good one, I enjoy it.

Great buy. Easy to use and a very time saving item. Drive direct to any place you want to go. It is a really great in a strange city when you need to find an address. Much easer than calling and trying to follow someone elses directions.

This is a very good inexpensive GPS unit. I was looking for a unit that was portable and could be used as a handheld unit. I got almost everything I was looking for in this unit. The only thing this unit doesn't do that I thought it was supposed to do is call out the name of the street you need to turn onto. It will tell you to turn a certain direction in a certain distance and will tell you to make the turn at the right time. It will display on the screen the direction and street for you to turn on but it doesn't say the street name or direction audibly. I used this unit walking around Washington DC and was very impressed. It is light weight and can fit into your shirt or pants pocket. I highly recommend this unit.

Product works just fine. Very helpful in everyday situations in trying to avoid lost time due to lack of knowledge of new areas.

I've used my father's Nuvi 350 three or four times during the past year to help me on long distance drives. When I saw some available for around $200, I couldn't resist buying my own.

I can't say enough good things about this product. As soon as you take it out of the box and turn it on it spends about 30 seconds locating satellites. Enter in the address or name of the place you're going, and after about 10 more seconds it generates a route and you're ready to go. You can even save your locations so you don't have to type them in every time. Need to stop for coffee? It will find a Dunkin Donuts on the way and enter it into your route. Miss a turn? No problem, the GPS will recalculate in about 5 seconds and send you the next best way.

I drive through the US and Canada quite frequently, so having maps of all of North America was a must. Other units in this price range only have US maps, but the Nuvi 350 came pre-loaded with everything I need. It is extra useful at night, when reading a map in the car is near impossible and street signs are hard to see. Just zoom in on the map, and the unit will show you the name of each street that you approach. Pedestrian mode is also quite handy, although I don't like having to hold it out in front of me while I walk. I usually just use it to find where I'm going, memorize my route and put it away.

The only negative I can think of is that you can only insert one waypoint in your route. It would be nice to be able to enter all your stops in, but oh well. Also, be sure to calibrate the touch screen right away. At first I thought mine was defective - it didn't seem to know where on the screen I was touching - but there is a built in function that cleared it up immediately. Now the screen works very well.

One more note: my purchase came with my choice of 3 free downloadable audiobooks, which can be stored and played on the unit or an iPod. I'm not sure if this is standard with every Garmin, but it was a nice touch.

Overall, the Nuvi 350 easily rates a 5 out of 5. If you're like me and are nervous about getting lost in unfamiliar places, this will change your life!

The Nuvi 350 is a breeze to use. After researching GPS systems - this model met all of my needs. Consumer Reports also rates this item very high. It is very easy to update maps when necessary. Simple to navigate and so far it is very accurate. Good battery power. If you are looking for a reasonably priced GPS System - I highly recommend purchasing the Nuvi 350!

Bought it to help me not to get lost. Have no sense of direction. Helps to open up my world. I like the small size. It is very accurate except in small towns. Every time I leave home using it, the directions tell me to use a road that does not exist.
