I purchased the En Vogue Funky Divas CD because I had already had the album in cassette form, and we all know what happens to cassettes when they get old!! The music is awesome as it totally takes me back to the time my kids were small and we would all listen to these songs on the radio on the way to school or dance to it on the stereo at home. It's a nice walk down memory lane listening to the old songs!

Pros: Tight harmonies, great production, good material
Cons: Because they experiment with sound two songs on the album do nothing for me.
Funky Divas is the album that really brought En Vogue to the center of my attention and introduced me to their amazing style. I honestly feel that En Vogue is one of the best girl groups ever. This album contains a lot of early 90's gems and really shows off the skill and talent these ladies possess. This was back when Dawn Robinson was a member and her divine voice adds a lot of spunk and soul to their sound. Scenes from the dressing room kick this album off as the girls give us a mixture of singing, arguing and commentary. Talking about what songs to warm up to, asking where an item of make.

Pros: Great message, rhythm and style
Cons: None
In the year 1992 four Funky Divas arrived on the scene. The first time I heard the song, Free Your Mind I was hooked. The words of this song are still so true to this day and I related to them on another level. This is written about how ones perception of another race or color are clouded by the outside and not looking at the person as a whole. This line here tells it all, Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me . At the time this song was released I was employed at a minority owned business made up of African Americans. I was the only Caucasian female in the office along...

Pros: Excellent production, lyrics, everything; all 4 girls can sang; still sounds fresh
Cons: Um .I m thinking, I m thinking
The Main Idea: If you read my other epinion of En Vogue s EV3, then you ve already gotten the rundown of En Vogue s history. There were just four girls from Oakland with dreams of making it big when they all happened to meet the dynamic production duo of Foster

Pros: Great music, dialogues are rather entertaining.
Cons: None I can think of.
What is it about girl groups? They are one of most popular types of music groups in the industry today. They always have catchy singles and innovative dance moves to back em' up-and record sales are always top notch. Most times, girls groups rarely have a hard time finding their niche in music and almost always come out on top. Ive seen it in the media all my life; They are usually the brainchild of male producers, one or two usually leave to try and pursue a solo career, so lineup changes are prevalent as well as necessary, and they are usually bestsellers. One prime example of this also...
