Some good choices here, but the CD is pretty short. Only 7 songs. Part 2 is longer and the songs sound more similar to the originals. I recommend that one highly.

  Punk music on Titanic?!?!?!
Review created: 02/23/02

Pros:
Punk covers of some movie theme songs that will bring back memories

Cons:
singer's voice gets very monotone-ish after the 7th song - you gotta be a fan!

A New Found Glory made the headlines as a punk band when they scored big by getting to open for Blink 182 last year. When I saw them I was impressed with the energy of the lead singer, Jordan Pundik, however his high pitched, unique, monotone voice did get a bit annoying by the end of the show. I would however still highly recommend this CD to anyone who loves punk music - after all, it's the Titanic song sang punk! The album cover plays up the whole movie theme song idea by showing many old drive in movie theater shots. The inside liner shows pictures of the band members and their names and..

Is this cover album "good enough"...

Pros:
Movie Theme Songs covered the "Pop-Punk" way

Cons:
Too short (only 7 Tracks long)

I m not a real big fan of A New Found Glory, although I enjoy a few of their songs. Several years ago, I was searching for a soundtrack from the movie, The Goonies, but had no luck finding the album (although I found a copy later on). In my search for the soundtrack, I kept getting results back on this album, From The Screen To Your Stereo. So I decided to run down to the store and check it out. What I found was, a punk album with covers from classic 80 s (and a couple 90 s) movies. I was curious, so I went ahead and bought the album. The album isn t too bad. I really have no complaints about.

  Cute pop punk movie themes
Review created: 03/17/01

Pros:
Fun, poppy punk that will get eighth grade girls to go out with you

Cons:
The album concept has been done before, it's pretty light-weight stuff, patterned.

A New Found Glory, eh? Something really bothers me about this band. They're like the pop punk band for teeny boppers who have just gotten past the whole Blink 182 thing. I saw them on MTV, and they're on a major record label... what the hey??? Oh well. They do play cute, fun, pop punk that I actually sort of have a soft spot for. I guess it's a piece of the eighth grade wannabe punk in me that hasn't died yet. This album contains 7 covers of popular movie themes. This seems really clever, but I'm pretty sure Me First and The Gimme Gimmes already did a whole album of this stuff. Let's analyze,.

A Funny Take on Movie Music
Review created: 08/31/00
by: KarenZero -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Fun interpretations of classic movie themes...

Cons:
May get boring after the 10th listen

This CD-EP is A New Found Glory's take on several classic movie themes, including "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough" (from the 80's classic children's movie The Goonies) and the themes to Never Ending Story, Titanic, Karate Kid 2, Armaggedon, That Thing You Do, and Bryan Adam's song "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" from Robin Hood with Kevin Costner. Sometimes cover albums can be quite dull, especially when the cover songs are mere straight-foward copies of the original. However, since none of the themes from these movies ever resembled anything pop-punk in the first place, all of these covers..

From the Stereo to my Heart
Review created: 03/26/01
by: Zero_Lee -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Creative covers, good variety of songs

Cons:
I just wish there were more than 7 songs!

When I first saw the track listing for New Found Glory's "From the Screen to you Stereo", I couldn't help but laugh. All the songs listed held dear places and my heart and scenes from their respective movies flashed through my head. "From the Screen" compiles some of the most darling and nostalgic movie themes...and then completely revamps them with New Found Glory's excellent punk rock sound. Each song sounds great as an individual punk rock anthem, but they all double as catchy movie themes. You couldn't ask for a better concept for an album, if you ask me. And with the low cost of this LP,.
