This has got to be the very best of Tom Hanks skills as a actor. The story line again unlike any other. I wonder if he has ever made a bad movie. This movie will make you laugh, cry and scratch your head. Another Hanks History Maker as this one will go down in history as a classic work of art!

This is one of those must have movies,one of those movies that just isn't shown a lot anymore and sometimes you just wanna see it.This film has a wonderful cast, and the situations are totally surreal, yet entertaining.

I took my kids on vacation to Washington,D.C. I wanted them to see the Washington monuments that are in the movie while we were driving. A great movie for the family to see.

Forrest Gump is an incredible movie, starring a convincing Tom Hanks. The plot and social commentary also make this a must have movie for anyone who cares about the second half of the last century.

On the downside, this is no kiddie movie. It tackles serious issues (War, Drugs, AIDS, Purpose, Mental Disability, and others). It's not trashy, though, as it handles them with poise and sincerity. Definitely a great movie.

The only thing I find fault with is the shipping was too high. This might be what it cost to ship but the shipping, when the shipping is higher than the product is not real good. The shipping was $6.00 and that seem rather hight to me. Everything else was great.

In my opinion this is Redford's best movie. Set back in the 1800's it is a great mixture of comedy & drama.

Purchased as a gift for my sons birthday. It is one of our all time favorite movies to watch together. We both cry at the end everytime!!

The movie arrived the time the seller promised. I was concerned that the dvd was floating inside the dvd case, but it had no scratches.

I saw this movie a while ago on VHS I believe. I've since seen the movie a few times on DVD and it has become one of my all time favorites. I saw it on ebay a while ago and decided that I needed to have it for my collection. Since it was much cheaper this way I bought it and I have watched it a couple times since. It's a fantastic movie with a lot of factual information from this time period in American History.

I bought this as a quick gift for a friend who really loves the movie, it came in the mail quickly, had a few scratches like the seller said ahead that it did, but the movie plays without glitches and that's what matters to me. Thanks!

This movie was a gift for my daughter. I personally did not like the movie. I think that Tom Hanks has better movies out there than that one. This movie just did not hold my attention at all not even the first time I tryed to watch it

When I first saw the film "Forrest Gump" in a theater in 1994, I knew that director Robert Zemeckis had created a heart-warming masterpiece that would more than likely earn it Oscar recognition, and it certainly did. The endearing film follows the life of an educationally challenged man named Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) from the time of his childhood (played by Michael Conner Humphrey's) until early middle age. His mother (Sally Field) made sure that he would be treated just like everyone else so that he could take care of himself once she was gone. In addition to his learning disability, Forrest was required to wear leg braces as a child that made him the target of ridicule from other children, except for one girl named Jenny Curran. However, Forrest quickly discovered that his legs weren't that bad when he found an innate ability to run. When Forrest decided to join the U.S. Army, he meets his two best friends: a fellow recruit named Pvt. Benjamin Buford 'Bubba' Blue (Mykelti Williamson) and Lt. Dan Taylor (Gary Sinise). Bubba loved to talk about shrimp and Lt. Dan was raised to be a soldier. Forrest's relationship with Jenny, as well as his relationships with Bubba and Lt. Dan, led Forrest down several unexpected paths that allowed him to meet several pivotal historical figures.
Tom Hanks' superb performance as the lovable Forrest Gump earned him his well-deserved Oscar for Best Actor. Robert Zemeckis also earned the Oscar for Best Director, and the film itself won the Oscar for Best Picture as well as three other Oscars for Best Visual Effects, Best Editing and Best Writing (A total of 6 Academy Awards). Gary Sinise earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, in addition to six other Oscar nominations that included Best Cinematography, Best Music and Best Sound (13 total Academy Award Nominations). Part of what "Forrest Gump" so endearing was Zemeckis' use of superimposing actors into actual, historical film footage. This footage included the late Pres. John F. Kennedy, the late John Lennon, the late Pres. Richard M. Nixon, and the late former Alabama Gov. George Wallace to name a few.

Some of the many memorable scenes in the film include the opening scenes, running with leg braces, running across the football field during practice, scenes at the University of Alabama, Boot Camp, Vietnam, D.C., NYC, the shrimping boat, running across America, and the scenes with Jenny (both as child and adult). I regard "Forrest Gump" as one of the best films ever made and rate it with a resounding 5 out of 5 stars. It's the kind of film that draws the viewer into its story and keeps the viewer engaged throughout its 142 minutes. I highly recommend the DVD version of the film to everyone, and the second DVD is good with its various documentaries and other material. Tom Hanks went on to star in many more memorable film roles, including his roles in "Apollo 13" (1995), "Saving Private Ryan" (1998), "The Green Mile" (1999) and "Cast Away" (2000) to name only a few. There are FEW films that deserve to be in EVERYONE'S collection, this is ONE of them.

Movie keeps your eyes wide open from beginning to end! Be careful! You might miss something! Tom Hanks pulls it all together for one of the best acting jobs of all time! The guy is good...real good!

Forrest Gump - This was a great movie. I know that people make fun of this movie, but I wonder if they ever saw it. Or when was the last time they saw it, because I saw this movie again not that long ago and I forgot just how good it was. Watch it again and see what you forgot.

This was a hard to find DVD, but not on Ebay, and the price . . WOW!
It's that simple. The fact that I was the winning bidder just added to the overall experience. This is why I shop Ebay, there are great deals, it's fast, it's simple and the rush of winning something I really wanted, knowing that I'm not the only one who wants it, MAN!!! Life is sweet! . . or should I say Ebay is sweet. There's a slogan for you, life is sweet, Ebay makes it sweeter, bid on!-line.

I got this movie for my step-dad and he couldn't have liked anything anymore than he did this movie, therefore, it was worth a million dollars to me.

Forrest Gump is one of my wife's favorite movies. Her copy (which was a present from me) was recently damaged. I immediately went to the shopping mall of the web, eBay to find a replacement. The selection was great.
This product had the DVD of the movie and the Features DVD. It has been a delight to watch. I would recommend this movie to anyone looking for some good family and heart touching entertainment

Forrest Gump is the story of a young child named Forrest Gump. You follow Forrest from the time when he was a young child who was "below average" in intelligence and had braces on his legs. You follow him through his life as he intertwines through school, college integration, Vietnam, Watergate, China, and other things. This was a great movie that won awards and tributes.

The neatest thing is watching American history unfold through the eyes of Forrest. You also get to see the movie technology as they insert Forrest into meetings with three Presidents and into the scenes from famous news reels.

This is one of the most amazing and adorable movies I have ever watched. it bring out all of your human emotions and reminds you how strong the human spirit can be. 2 Thumbs Way Up for this movie
