DE review for Footloose (15th Anniversary) Soundtrack

This 1998 version of the original 1984 soundtrack to the movie "Footloose" is greatly improved by the inclusion of "Bang Your Head (Metal Health)" by Quiet Riot, "Waiting For A Girl Like You" by Foreigner, and "Hurts So Good" by John Mellencamp", however the remix for "Dancing In The Sheets" by Shalamar wasn't really needed - there should have been a DVD released along with the CD, which included the music videos to the six hits from this release ("Footloose", "Let's Hear It For The Boy", Almost Paradise", "Holding Out For A Hero", "Dancing In The Sheets", and "I'm Free"), as well as the music videos to the three extra tracks included on this release. Too bad Columbia Records didn't release the original 1984 release with the extra tracks, but I guess with the film's 15th anniversary coming up in 1998, they had to make their money somewhere! The other tracks on this release should still not be ignored (even though they weren't charting hits), as "Somebody's Eyes" by Karla Bonoff, and "Never" by Moving Pictures is pretty much the last new music released by these two acts, and "The Girl Gets Around" by Sammy Hagar is one of his better songs from his solo tenure at Geffen Records - so overall, if you loved the film, and want the extra tracks to boot, this release is a must!
