For anyone who follows the Scottish modern music scene, this is a great album. The tunes are driving, with the folkish twist that's promised in the title. It's one of my favorite albums-- apparently I'm not the only one, since my first copy has gone missing. I've loaned it out, and everyone who has heard it loves it. A must-have for anyone interested in modern Scots music. Period. Or experimental rock.
