Flex-Able - Vai, Steve (CD 1997)

This is Steves first solo album and it came out simply amazing, even being recorded on a little 8-track has not taken away any of its professionalism, probably due to Steves nac for profection. It has some heavily Zappa influanced tracks (I think he was still in Franks band at the time), three or four really great rockin songs that he still plays live today and, if you get the CD with the bonus tracks, one song, "So Happy", that I thought was really clever (matching a guitar part exactly with a womans voice). Maybe nextime he can do a nagging wife one. ha ha. Anyways, I started my Steve Vai journey with his Sound Theories DVD (his latest, really great stuff with a full orchastra) and loved it and wanted to hear how all this got started and I wasn't disapointed at all. I highly recommend it so pick it up. ENJOY!!!
